I wonder if the vet needs to keep her in now for more intensive care, perhaps get her in an oxygen tent to help with her breathing etc. I would ring the vet now and see if you can get her straight in.

It could help her feel alot better, do ask about a feeding tube, they have saved many a life

My girl is just the same. Mick has stayed up with her all nite, keeping her face clean & trying to get fluid into her.
She is just sick straight after she had had fluid, only akling a couple of mil in a syringe.

I come down stairs earlier to make a coffee & when i went back up to her, she had been sick again,
and she didnt even move her head from it :'( :'(

Gotta ring the vet this afternoon, there is still that chance my girl can pick up  :wish: :wish: :wish:

come oin splitz, please sweetheart XXXXXXXXXX

Do they know what is wrong with her Tina? Sorry if I am ignorant and have missed this somewhere.

They have all come down with cat flu, and a lot of fluid on her lungs.
Pod was really poorly with it, but hospitalization for one day and medication
perked him up. Rolo and Flora were not as bad.
But Splitz bless her, the medication does not seem to e kicking it off.
I know the other will take a few weeks before they are back to normal, but thay are all eating & wanting out again (which they are not allowed yet)
But Splitz is 14, and the others are all younger. Pod is 4, Rolo 3 & half & Flora is about 2.

She started to breathe thru her nose for an hour or so after the injections.
Now my baby is back to breathing thru her mouth, and when she swallows she seems to be
gettin distressed. She is back to looking the way she was this morning  :'( :'( :'(

I am trying to be strong for her and try not cry infront of her, but its so hard i cant hold back the tears.
mick is going to be staying up with her again thru the nite, so he is grabbin his sleep now.

I just feel so helpless and dont know what to do now
My other 3 babies keep sittin at the spare bedroom door, but they cant go in to see their big sis,
as they are all still on antibiotics and have to keep them away from her  :'( :'( :'(

Thank you all for your kind words & vibes xxx

Been back to vets with Splitz.

He has given her another 2 injections today. One was to help clear her breathing.
She has had everything now to help give her that boost,
he said see what she is like in 24hrs.

She has had a purr since we brought her back home, but she has also been sick  :'( :'(

Splitz still very poorly, no improvement.
The ab's dont seem to be kicking in.
She has no interest in food or water/milk
Waiting on phonecall from the vet if there is anthing lse he can do for her  :'( :'(

When my Gypsy got cat flu, about 4 yrs ago, (she was about 7rs old then)  she was terribly ill like Splitz, I thought I would lose her then. She wouldnt eat either. It was over a week before I could get her to even try to eat, although I'd been syringing Liquivite to give her some nutrients. She needed several course of antibiotics and I'd say it was a good 2-3 weeks before she really well again. She had that look of giving up too - I was convinced she would - but she pulled through that time (I lost her last year to pneumonia/tumour sadly). Hope your Splitz will pull through

Did they give the vit B12 shot as Desley suggested?
