Mark, Lexy is on Zylkene and its palatable and fine with other medications. She eats it with her food, Viacutan and others. She's like Alice, impossible to pill. I tried to give her Piriton the other day and I was able to fool her once with Primula. Once.. no more.  :tired:

For what it's worth Mark, Dinah polished off her breakfast with the zylkene sprinkled on but she also eats a milbemax as a treat.  She's a gannet which is fabulous compared to a fussy eater I know.

The trouble is, I am already chancing my arm with her eating her food with Renalzin in. I tried adding Cystease as well the other day and she refused to eat. She is impossible to pill and I have to go through the rigmarole of grinding her fortekor up and mixing it in with furball paste and rubbing it into her front leg every day. I suppose I could try adding xykene as well. There is a limit to cocktails we can give them though?  - She isn't interested in treats and an 85gram pouch is something she may or may not finish over the course of the day along with a few biscuits so it is hard to trick her. She loves a few pices of steak or chicken but even those are carefully shredded before eating so no hope there.

I just envy people who have lots of cats who get on.

I used to be one of those people Mark, now I have pee'd on duvets (Dinah?) and peeing and pooing in bathroom (Ruby?)  Things change.  Hopefully for the better too.  Have you tried Zylkene by any chance?  Sorry if you've mentioned it before.  I just started giving some to Dinah this morning after I noticed Billy chasing her last night.  Not sure if I should have tried giving it to Billy instead.  Can't drug em all up  :shify:

I just envy people with a mouse atm as can't get used to this blasted pad mouse on new lappy - waiting for wireless mouse to arrive.

She was purring louder before but the camera woke her up  :evillaugh:

She should be comfortable. She has a small dog bed with a flectabed on top and a mothercare baby blanket on top of that. She loves her clean blankets - When ever I change the cover on one of her beds, she immediately hops onto it.

I have even had to steam clean the scratch posts as he has sprayed up those as well.

I have to keep throwing out toys as she pees on them. Luckily so far she hasn't peed on Alice's 2 well-chewed Catac catnip pillows that she loves.

I was starting to feel ashamed of having people in the house

We are like that. We just avoid any visitors full stop as we are never confident the house smells clean, no matter how much cleaning and urine removal stuff I use - although I have to say, the RX66 from xeria seems to work but we are always discovery new unchartered territory  :tired:

Well if it is any consolation Mark, I have just finished steam cleaning my carpets and washing down walls and skirting as a certain cat has had a spray fest!  :P

I was starting to feel ashamed of having people in the house, I have even had to steam clean the scratch posts as he has sprayed up those as well. If he keeps this up I will be shoving that steam cleaner somewhere!

When he is in from now on he will have to be confined to one room in the house, so at least only the one room smells!

Well she was a good girl this morning. In fact when I was having my coffee and smoke in the garden, she was miowing normally through the window at me  :Luv2: - maybe she knew I was already annoyed with Willow as she had peed up a (not expensive but lovely) antique bureau in the hallway that we only got on Wednesday  :( - It has leaded glass and the pee has gone inside and underneath  >:( - I cam downstairs to it this morning.

As you know I have 10 cats (soon to be 11) and mine pretty much get on with each other OK,  but they do have moments,  Lou Lou Flump is forever bashing someone on the head and Hazzle Dazzle is always peeing his pants after being looked at by another cat,  it definitely goes in phases,  no advice Mark,  just suggest earplugs ????

It could be worse if I had to go to work instead of being a "mature student"  :evillaugh: - at least I can have a nap and make them wait for their tea!!!!!   :evillaugh:

Yes, life with cats is never dull....
They do seem to go through phases with each other.

That was no help to you whatsoever!  :innocent:

Well actually it is probably more help that you realise, it says to Mark that at times as much loved as they are they can drive us to distraction.

The other night my Ben and one of my fosters Rosie would not come in, despite calling and calling them. I gave up in the end and was woken up at 4.30am by Ben howling at the back door to be let in. Left him till 4.45am till I could stand it no more and let him in. At 5am Rosie appears and boy can she shout. So back down the stairs to let her in. Back to bed, 5.45am the chickens then start up to have the pophole opened, so I gave in after that and stayed up. This was all on a Sunday morning which did not please me!

The chickens got threatened with the pot, Ben got threatened with not being allowed out ever again if he keeps doing this and Roise got a very exasperated look and a "There has got to be a nice hime for you somewhere". Of course 48 hours after that she has been rehomed with one of her kittens to a lovely family who live in a converted barn in the middle of the country. Wish someone would rehome me!

The thing is, as soon as she saw me, the howl turned to a chirrup and she wanted breakfast  :tired: - bearing in mind I was 2 floors up and she woke me up gives you an idea of how loud she can be. To add insult to injury, Willow came in from the garden for a drink and Alice started beating her up. I lost my rag and picked Alice up and threw her onto her bed - She looked at me with her big innocent eyes. Just venting frustration here as I know there isn't really an answer. (6 feliway plugins made no difference although we will buy 6 refills) I just envy people who have lots of cats who get on. Willow beats Clapton up, Alice beats Clapton and Willow up, Kylie beats Willow up. Alice & Kylie are wary of each other but no violence. Clapton holes himself up in a spare bedroom, rarely comig out. Kylie has taken over the main bedroom at night. Willow is virtually living in the garden  :( - They have all become really clingy lately.

It's not as if they are really confined. There are 4 floors + a garden. It just seems like the 3 girls are all jealous and competitive.

Moan over.
