Had a very long chat wiv vet, basicaly as there was no pus there wen i took her its hard for her to say whats wrong at the moment, she thinks its an infection maybe caused by a hair entering her vagina and iritating it, she is going bak on friday.

don't let her off the phone until you are happy with what she is saying - its awful when you put the phone down and think of other things you wanted to ask

I would call the vets and say you are confused and would like the vet to call you back and give you a clearer explanation. Sometimes when we get in a situation where we are worried we don't take everything in so it may be that the vet explained but it just wasn't very clear. I know my vet would do this if I had gone away confused. I read that in a stressful situation people sometimes only hear one out of every four words said so definately worth a call.

It seems odd they couldn't give any diagnosis at all, so as they say, I guess keep bathing it and see how it is in the next few days.

Can I just say, I find your posts quite hard to read sometimes with the text speak and abbreviations  :shy:

ah - didn't know she'd been spayed - don't think it could be linked then to a menstrual cycle

'Bits' being her bum? Does it smell like rancid poo? Could be her anal glands, they get sore if they fill up and can also get infected, a simple job for the vet and she will feel much better afterwards  ;D

No idea what it is but I think a vet trip is needed. Anything with discharge is infected and best to nip it in the bud before it gets painful and nasty. Any infection being licked will end up in the cat's system and give them an upset stomach/diarrhoea.

I would at least call the vet about it.

The other day i noticed patch kept lickung her private parts so i thought i would have a look  :shy:
when i looked i noticed ahe has a little lump just below her bits and around her bits there is a smelly white discharge,
Any ideas?
She is weeing normally, eating and drinking normally i wouldnt of known anything was wrong unless i looked  :shy:
