that's the only one i have of her (i know i know, Mr Bean is not very feminine).  ok she wasnt ugly but she was very funny looking, like a little alien baby but she grew out of it.  she was a very affectionate cat, you know the pushy type?  if you didnt stroke her she'd just keep on pushing herself against you until you gave in. i lost count of how many times she managed to turn the pc via the keyboard because i was trying to ignore her.  it was easier just to give in.  she died on xmas eve 2005 (just after her first b.day, not before as i said earlier).  fortunately it looked as though it was instant and for that i'm grateful.  it never gets any easier does it?  :'(

 No it doesnt get easier - they never leave you - it will be the 4th anniversary of loosing Zak on the 31st January  :( I think Zak was instant, he was run over in my so called quiet cul-de-sac about 200 yards from my front door, the guy who killed him, left him in the road and knocked on a neighbours door. Brian picked him up and said he was alive when he picked him up, but the time I got to him 10 minutes later he was gone. As Brian didnt know who he belonged to, he knocked on Diane's door, It was her who came to us. Zak had only been out for 10 minutes when it happened,  10 minutes after that I was picking him up from the side of the road. A week later his ashes were on the table and there they have stayed :'( :'(.

Which darling is she in the photo?.

sorry about your Zac  :(.  my absolute darling Ovis was killed by next door neighbours dog (he wasn't the first).  it broke my heart and i never thought i'd get over it.  shortly after that i had to have my dog put to sleep and i couldn't mourn her properly because something was broken inside.  i still can't think about the days leading up to his death but i can think about him now.  he was 6 yrs old and my soul mate.  i love all my pets dearly but Ovis was very special.  i think Mouse is going to be like that and that scares me a bit.

By way of proper introduction here are my cats:

Lupus - Mar 1998 -

one of 2 alpha males.  Lupus is brain-damaged, partially blind after a ladder fell on his head at 15 weeks old. very talkative and extremely affectionate.  he's my sweetie pie and spends most of his time at home

Jack - 1 Dec 1999 -

the other alpha male.  Jack is a proper alpha, out all day, always coming home with bites and scratches.  he tolerates the females but woe betide any of the boys if they go near him.  he loves the dogs though

Milky way and Andromeda - Dec 2003 -

aka Milky and Andy, littermates.  my contrary nature lead me to name the black male Milky and the female Andy  .  Milky is practising to be alpha male but still behaves like an adolescent. Milky's pet name is Pubes as he has white hairs everywhere a man has pubes ;).  Andy is very maternal, although all of my animals have been done, she mothers any and all kittens that happen to find their way here.  she's also very fat  .  they are both much bigger than that picture now.

Shenzy - Oct 2004 -

named after the female hyena in the lion king.  i couldnt have chosen a better name for her.  she's mean.  if she'd been born a big cat she would not be part of a pride.  apart from Andy, who Shenzy considers mum (Andy lets her suckle even though she's never had a litter), she barely tolerates everybody else.  that includes the "2 legs".  you have to ensure that you feet are covered all night else she'll bite, for no apparent reason other than she likes to      as a kitten she was deceptively beautiful and so here's another of her

so "chócolate box" but so evil

Oliver Broadtail, Edwina Longfoot and Jemima Spider - Jan 2005 -

littermates,  aka Ollie the wally, Teddy Bear and Jimmy Love.  these 3 are absolute darlings.  i only wanted the boy but when i got there he'd gone and only the 2 girls were left.  Teddy broke her leg at 15 weeks but shes fine now.  she is the stupidest cat, wants to be carried around everywhere, cradled like a baby    Jimmy is a loner, but not quite a nomad like Shenzy, she loves her sister and Andy as both let her suckle.
when i picked the girls up after they were spayed the vet asked if i wanted another one.  i laughed as i already had 9 but when he explained i realised that it was the brother that i'd missed out on so i said yes   :shy: .  i'm glad i did, Ollie is a nutcase, pure adolescent male, makes me laugh all the time

Dennis the Paint - Feb - 2006 -

named after my dad who's a painter ;), his tail looks like it's been dipped in white paint (the cat, not my dad  :-: ).  he, (the cat), is aka menace, or man-boobs on account of his hangy belly

Socks - June 2006 -

Rescue kitten, unwanted after her owners decided they wanted a staffy pup.  the pup was rehoused before it was 6 months old, i hate people like that.  Socks is a lovely girl, very playful and seems to come from nowhere to attach herself to your ankle.

Sam 2007 -

Sam became homeless when his owner moved to a static site (trailer park) that didnt allow pets.  i tried to say no but in the end i caved.  i'm glad i did, hes very affectionate, loves a cuddle.

and Merlin (black) and Mouse (black and white).  2008 -

Mouse was very poorly when he came to me, very anaemic and had serious stomach problems.  he was 5 weeks old and had been away from his mum for a week  >:(.  i removed over 60 fleas from him the first night.  after 24 hours of plain chicken meals he started to pick up.  he's used a lot of lives up in his 16 weeks of life.  he's fallen down the toilet, he's fallen into the chip pan and inhaled oil.  he went into shock after the chip pan incident but hes a fighter.  he's very small for his age.  Merlin was found on bonfire night, alone near the woods.  he was a well looked after, nice looking cat so i thought he'd be claimed after i put notices up about him but sadly nobody came for him.  he's a nice cat, around 5 months old but he's definitely the last.
