One of the many reasons for providing a tray is so toilet habits/deposits can be monitored. Cats should really have a indoor tray. It is one of the things on the CP form when homing that people must provide a litter tray. I was alerted to Alice having problems when I noticed blood in her tray. Had she gone outside all the time, I never would have noticed. They all go in the garden from time to time but I can still keep an eye on them.

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

is he neutered?

I would still guess a urine infection, especially if he eats mainly dry food

I assume he is neutered, in which case a girlfriend is unlikely. But there is a chance there is a new cat in the neighbourhood and he is feeling the need to patrol his territory a bit more than usual to make sure it does not take over his own patch. That could also explain his jumpiness ...

He doesnt have a litter tray anymore as he goes out now..  He wont like having to stay in..  He just seems exceptionally keen to go out even though its cold outside !  Hubby says he could have a girlfriend ?!   Hes eating and drinking fine.

Does he use a litter tray indoors? If so I would keep him in for a day or something and see whether he uses the toilet a lot, if so he'll need a trip to the vets, could have an infection or something. If everything is normal from that point of view then at least you can rule that out.

My thomas has started going out alot more than usual ! he used to be so lazy and hardly go out accept to toilet !
Now this past week hes going out alot more and seems a bit jumpy sometimes  :scared:
Just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of reassurance as to why hes doing this ?
Thanks
