:shify: gets into car...drives round to Rosiecat's house...

 :car:

She's fab.

Smokey's eyes are a big gunky mess but thanks to similar fantasic advice from Gillian and Candy (in person-I was very lucky) they are a big gunky mess that get clean and stay clean for up to about ten whole minutes...ho hum...

This isn't me knocking their advice btw, Smoo could barely open his eyes when we first got him so he's come along leaps and bounds.

Chamomile tea was another good piece of advice I got from someone here too. Not sure how it'd work on white though.

She was born like that, there is a tiny piece of bone where her leg would have been so have to be careful when grooming around there, otherwise she has no problems.

PS   Lily only has three legs as you will notice, it does not slow her down  in the least!

100% agree with Gillian.

I have a white and black show persian kitten and so I have to make sure there is zero staining.  The best product is definitely the refrigerated eye envy used in conjunction with the powder.

You can only keep it for up to 3 months though so don't order too much!!

I ordered mine from here on Sunday and received it today ;)

I use Eye Envy, found its one of the best products for eye staining. www.eyeenvy.com The original works best, a lot of distributors only sell the 'herbal' version because it doesnt need to be refrigerated like the original does.

Topline Kleenface is pretty good too http://www.dezynadog.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=1072&osCsid=51b1272a9072772593ac161b7a27d47c

Yes, if they are white its the worst to clean - none of mine have white round eyes except Winston has a little bit .
Have you any photos of them on here ?

Thanks Bunglycat  :Luv:  I have just sent Gillian a PM.   I use cooled boiled water on my other two but it is simply not touching the staining on this fluffball.

Persian eye care
« Reply #1 on: January 06, 2009, 15:55:30 PM »
I have two Persians, Darcy who is fairly open faced and Lily (on my avatar) who is an ultra type and needs daily eye care.   However I had a gorgeous new arrival before Christmas in the shape of a red and white boy whose mum is poorly and has been in hospital for a couple of months.   He has had a bath etc, has settled in very well and has had the patience of a saint whilst I groom his knotty bits  :Luv:  However despite cleaning his eyes twice daily he does have quite a bit of tear staining - does anyone have any recommendations to remove this please?

Thank you  :Luv:
