What do you call him at home Lottie? I always end up shortening cats names so he'd be Pinny if he lived with me  :evillaugh:

He's just Pinball (or whingebucket) at home

If the vet thinks Nova is ok weight wise then he probably is, NFCs go through several delightful odd looking phases when they look skinny one month with a short tail, then 6 weeks later their tail is long, their body is fine, ears look huge and their head looks tiny and eventually they'll be all in proportion and looking stunning!  I'm just hoping Pinball isn't looking too odd and out of proportion when he goes to his next show prob in March  :evillaugh:

I'm still slightly paranoid after being told by the vets nurse my two were Tiny, and now mum says Nova is skinny too but he's been cleared by the vet and I think he's just having a growth spurt - he's bigger than my mums 7 year old boy cat now :)

How are him and Boopy getting along?

He adores her, he wines, dines and washes her but he's not got the hang of anything else yet much to her frustration  :evillaugh:  He's too busy being a kitten bless him, hopefully in the second half of the year he'll get the idea!!

Now Mia really is the onlyshort haired NFC I know :)

She'll get there, it will prob arrive all of a sudden like Pinball's did! Next winter they'll get a proper big coat as this year it's only their kitten winter coats they are getting. I've got to put Pinball back on kitten food too as got told at the show y the judge that whilst he's a lovely big muscular boy he needs to bulk up a bit as he feels a bit skinny at the moment as he has grown even longer and taller but not caught up bulk wise yet bless him.

For the rest of the year he is aiming for his Triple Grand Champion and Quadruple Grand Champion titles and then if he gets those we'll see if we can achieve the final title of Supreme Grand Champion (but we won't hold our breath on that one  :evillaugh:).

I still can't quite believe Pinball's first show results and have to keep pinching myself! The main reason I took him was because I thought that being handled lots by different people would do him the world of good (which it has) and I thought if he maybe got a few points when he was judged that would be quite nice as a bonus.
About 2 weeks ago I was having a major panic about the show expecting Pinball to be a nightmare and the weekend to be a disaster, how wrong could I have been!

He wasn't too happy in his main pen as he was penned on the other side of the hall from all the other NFCs and spent the weekend in with the Benglies and it seems he doesn't like the racket that Benglies make so he spent most of his time hunched up in the corner being stroppy bless him but out in the rings he was fine and got more confident with each ring.

I couldn't believe how well he did as other than him and a 9 month old NFC the others were all all 16 months - 4 1/2 years old so competition was very stiff as they were all at such different stages of development and they were all stunning cats. There was great fun in a few of the rings though as a few NFCs had to have their colours/ coat patterns changed which caused us all to be scribbling away in our catalogues lol!

Pinball gained first in colour in every ring, quite a few 2nd and 3rd in divisions and quite a few 2nd and 3rd Best in Breeds!

He was called back for 4 finals and was 4th Best Cat in an All Breed Final, 3rd Best Cat in an All Breed Final, 2nd Best Cat in a Speciality Final and 9th Best Cat in a Speciality final  :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy:

He did so well that he achieved his Champion title, then his Grand Champion title and just before the show finished he gained his Double Grand Champion title!!!!!! :faint: :faint: Honestly you could have knocked me over with a feather, I almost cried I was so proud of my baby boy.

When the show was over I took Pinball to one of the judges who was doing in depth critiques of people's cats and after discussing his technical points with me she said to describe him in short he is 'fantastic and massive' especially considering he has only just turned 10 months old ;D ;D

He had some professional pics done so I will post those once I get them through as the close up of his face is just to die for!

I am so proud of my baby boy who took the show totally in his stride and enjoyed flirting with the girls in the pens either side of him in the rings (he was distracting an Abysinnian girl something chronic in one of the All Breed Finals :evillaugh:)
