phew - they picked up mum and last baby on Sat afternoon, it is strange not hearing them bouncing round the room, or having to go into the cat room to feed cats. Here is another picture of them.

Sorry about lack of updates, I haven't had much PC time this week!! One of the kittens went last night, and the other two are going today, but I havent had a phone call from the owner yet about picking mum and the other tabby up, which is slightly worrying. The rescue lady didn't leave their number with me, and she is away till a week on Wed, so I think I am going to have to hold them until she gets back. When I get a bit more time, I shall upload some of the pics taken this week.

WEll, food has now been taken up cos of mums spay - I decided it would be too traumatic to put either mum or babies in teh cage overnight, fortunately my vet has extended last feed till 10pm (and I always run late with that!!), and as soon as I get up I will put her in the carrier to feed them. They dont seem big eaters though, but are still suckling from mum, although as she barely has any milk, I dont know what they are getting. So tomorrow will be a good thing as I know she wont be finishing the food off.

And some more - Izzy was happily sunning herself till one of the tabbies (think it is Utopia, he is the roughest of the lot, maybe it is cos he is the only boy!!) pounced on her. She does seem the quietest of the 4. Not sure why Tia keeps lying in that spot, I wonder if it has anything to do with what is behind her!!

More pics!! You can really see Winter's ghost markings on her pic, cos she was in teh sun. I find it fascinating that they scratch to cover their food up when they are full, they are so young.

Cheers T, they look smaller than the ones I had last year, so I was a bit concerned, cos i was told they looked nice size kittens!! They do have names now, the darker of the blacks is Izzy, the lighter is Winter, the bigger of the tabbies is Utopia, and the smaller is Queen Fang. My friend's boys, who are having Izzy named them all. I do keep struggling with Utopia's name though. I did have another viewing today, but not holding out for that one, just didn't seem to get many positive vibes from that, and their reaction to a room with 4 kittens was a bit reserved for my liking. I am sure that if they do say no, there wont be that much of a wait for another home.
Have had to remove all towels from the room, and put another tray down though, as they have used towels as a toilet so far. Not concerned enough to get the cage out, as they have only been here 48 hours and the trays are being used. I am also remembering how much mess 4 kittens can make, I had forgotten that bit. These are the liveliest of the three litters though, but I have had a bad couple of days, so it is nice to sit in there and watch kittens playing and you can't stay sad or fed up for too long with them.

BM, It is only cos of hols, I was technically full!!!
Christine, think it is Ann (Tabby Cat)'s kittens you are thinking off.
One of the girls I work with wants a kitten, her and her boys are comig to look tomorrow, and the boys are going to pick the names out of my shortlist. Here are some pics - mum is a really good size, which is nice. Kittens look a bit small for 7 weeks to me, but then they are only the third family I have fostered, so not much to judge by really!!

They weren't the names i was thinking of C, I have 4 names for the girls and 3 for the boy, just need to narrow it down, but at the moment, I am still making sure I can tell them all apart, fortunately one black is a bit darker than the other (they have some stunning ghost markings) and one tabby is a bit bigger than the other.

Look forward to seeing them (and Treacle & Co must be somewhere else!  ;))

apparently the 3 for rehoming are a tabby boy, and 2 black girls, I will think of names for them tomorrow, and will post pics at some point!!

Is that Treacle, Toffee and Pushkin that you have there?  Someone has them...  ;)

As the rescue lady goes on holiday next week, I have our second family this year, which I picked up tonight. I think the story is that they didn't get her neutered in time despite having a voucher for it, and we agreed to help home the kittens (to make sure they get done). They are 7 weeks old now, but they are going on holiday tomorrow, so we have the whole family, but mum and the only boy kitten is going back when they get back off hol - fortunately they have paid for the mum to be spayed, so she is booked in for Mon, as she has already been outside, so she is being done whether she has milk or not (she wont let me check) - not ideal, I know but she has already had one litter by the age of 10 months, and this way, we know they wont forget to get her done. I have people at work interested in kittens, so they are viewing them this weekend - advantage is, I have been to both people's houses recently, but they can't go until next weekend. Mum is a tabby called Tia, and apparently the 3 for rehoming are a tabby boy, and 2 black girls, I will think of names for them tomorrow, and will post pics at some point!!
