It's a good job I live on my own as they have stuff all over the house including umpteen beds that they don't use, two litter trays plus litter all over the floor, 4 scratch posts of various sizes

I don't live on my own.....I'm extremely lucky because although my partner rolls his eyes at me in a "not another toy" kind of way he's pretty chilled out about my obsession!

Never  :evillaugh:  As time goes on they have different needs so there will always be something new that they 'need'.  The boys have pretty much every toy available in the UK so I had to resort to getting them stuff from the US.  The best place is ebay.com - there is a pet store on there that ships to the UK at reasonable prices.  I do actually get more pleasure out of buying things for them than I do buying things for me - it's good job as I never have any money left over for me!

As others have already said the answer to that is no  It's a good job I live on my own as they have stuff all over the house including umpteen beds that they don't use, two litter trays plus litter all over the floor, 4 scratch posts of various sizes and so many toys I've lost count and what did I buy when I was in the pound shop yesterday - yes another toy  :innocent: I'm a lost cause I think

I bought my cats a funky wicker two tier bed about a week ago. Someone came round the other day with some storage jars for me in a cardboard box that I left on the floor. Where d'you think I found LJ taking a nap?

I've not got the platinum one and you can't hear the motor just the water bubbling up from the pump.  I've set mine on a timer switch and it stops overnight as my flat is quite small and I'd be able to hear it from bed.

You can hear the water trickling - some people might not like that  :need loo:

I fancy a cat fountain but dont like the way they all seem to hum or something cos I would hate that, so they will have to make do with their 3 indoor bowls of water!

The drinkwell platinum in very quiet  ;)
The standard one hums though.

Answer is NO

I have/had a covered tray but although big it was not big enought for Misa...........he is a big boy  ;D

So its now reverted backed to just being a big tray.

We have a basketfull of toys and a front room floor covered in toys not to mention some in bedroom and utility room and kitchen and of course they get things out of the basket and leave them for me to trip over in the hall

Ducha now eats in the bedroom and has a litter tray in the bathroom...................they have taken over the whole house  :shify: :shify:

If I dare to go to the greenhouse for some rest I am quickly followed by Misa and Franta, one of whom thinks I am a cat bed................they dont use catbeds in the house........sigh

We have 3 C something double cat feeders but really need a fourth and a new tray for one cos its cracked.........no money, definately no more toys, we have 6 or seven big litter trays now and in the summer they all go outside, except maybe Ducha.

I fancy a cat fountain but dont like the way they all seem to hum or something cos I would hate that, so they will have to make do with their 3 indoor bowls of water!

These cats are too spoilt  :evillaugh:

At some point though, you will realise you have bought a cars-worth of toys for Lily and she will prefer a screwed up ball of paper to any of them  :evillaugh:

Oh I can relate to that

Too true guys, I do have a lovely photo on my phone of Lily sat in the auto feeder box, she leapt in there as soon as I opened it and promptly fell asleep.  My flat is starting to look like a junk yard with all the cardboard boxes I have around, half of which are full of stuff for Lily and the other half I kept cos she loves sitting in them.

Short answer.. no.

We have one of the hooded trays, the corner one from zooplus. We don't have the flap either as they don't understand cat flaps, some litter still comes out the door on their feet but they can't scratch it over the edge so its not too bad.

I need to buy one of those catmates feeders. My parents have the C50 so I'll probably go for that one. It will be really useful for when we go to the car shows in the summer, we are only away for one night so only really need to do dinner, breakfast and dinner again in case we aren't back in time.

I have a long list of things I want to buy so I'll probably get 1 or 2 things every payday!!

Sorry to disappoint you but we have hooded trays and they still manage to get litter on the floor. Not as bad as before though  :evillaugh:

I have taken the flaps off as they don't like them.

OK, I've had Lily for 3 months now and I'm totally fed up with cleaning up after she kicks all her litter out several times a day, so I've taken the plunge and bought her a hooded tray.  It's on order and I can't wait to hide it under the stairs and never have to get the dustpan and brush out again.  Whilst in the mood for shopping I also decided to buy an automatic feeder so I can leave her overnight and not have to worry.  Got myself a catmate C50 with 4 times meals and a frozen pack thing underneath to keep it all cold.  I'm going to try it out tonight and see if she takes to it, I might also be lazy and start using it in the mornings so I don't have to get up so early!  This lead me onto thinking about water, I can't leave her for a few days without fresh water, so I bought a water fountain which is happily humming away in the kitchen.  She's drunk from it when it was off so I'm hopeful she'll take to it soon.  All in all my little shopping trip cost me over £100.  I wonder what else I can get spending on .......
