Well I am pleased to report that after a major clean up operation lasting most of the day all is restored to normality.  Plumber said if Dragan hadn't woken me when he did the kitchen ceiling would have collapsed and my lounge carpet would have been ruined.

Little fella has been rewarded with his favourite chip shop sausage which he unceremoniously scoffed and is now sleeping in his dry furry house.

Supercat or what?

Well done Dragan  ;D ;D

I hope you can dry things out quickly cos its terrible when water gets everywhere and I have lots of sympathy

I had a flood in my kitchen during the summer and its taken months for it to dry out.

Well I can officially confirm my old boy Dragan is a true hero.  He woke me up at 4.20am to let me know we had a problem.  I am having the bathroom renovated and the toilet cistern had pulled off the wall and water was cascading through my kitchen ceiling and was halfway across my dining room floor!  I couldn't switch the water off ended up feeling like I had gone through Niagara Falls (believe me it was cascading), soaked to the skin and ended up phoning the Fire Brigade!!!!!  They were great and were on their way when I managed to get hold of the plumber who came right away.  In the meantime my neighbour came and together we lifted the cistern which stopped the water flow.  Have spent the last 3 hours mopping up and am just having a coffee and toast break before I finish.  Saddest thing is though that the only things still not dry are Dragan's little furry house, his bed and his rug!!!!  What a little trouper.
