Bless her.. stupid Question but is Coley fish ? Leo hates fish.. I bought him King prawns & cray fish for Xmas & he had 1 sniff & walked away !!!!!  :evillaugh:

She's back home and fine - apparantly she ate some food at the vets and now she is pottering around like usual. They did use the glue so no stitches thank goodness!

You might not need to do that much - if you can, keep her quiet, but that isn't always easy, as they ignore that advice. I would ask if they are going to use glue rather than stitches and a collar. Good luck.

Unless they have stitched and glued her she is likely to have to wear a collar until the stitches are out so, she will take a little while to get used to that.

She will probably need light food the first meal, like chicken or fish but the vet should give you any advice that is needed.

I am sure she will be fine  :hug:

Hi Lucy

Everything should and usually does go ok.  By the time you pick Xanthe up she may be a little drowsy but otherwise fine.  Mine just came out of the carrier as if nothing had happened.

Xanthe about to be spayed

Xanthe goes in to the vets tomorrow morning to be spayed & chipped. Any tips I need to know? I know the no food night before / water am routine, but she is my first girl so not sure what to expect in way of recovery? All advice gratefully received!
