an update --->

we went back to vets on monday and he was given another anti-inflam injection (he doesn't even flinch anymore :Luv:)

i started his anti-bi's on sunday which he is getting twice a day, and we haven't had any problems since.

we just need to keep an extra close eye for any recurring symptoms :)

thanks again guys

thanks everyone

today harry is back to usual, the anti inflammatory should have worn off by monday, so it will likely re-occur then the vet said. he has given him some panacure (a tiny dose bc he's only 400g :() for a rare type of parasite which occurs in puppies bowels sometimes.. begins with a P i think? so just incase it is that, he has panacure. he has anti-biotics to start on sunday morning to try treat whatever it is. vet says it could be a form of cat flu which has left a viral infection.

back to the vets monday morning with the little babe for another check and the next step.. i think we're finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel now though :)

i'll keep you all updated :) harry sends lots of cuddles and kisses to you all

uh what a night :tired:

well.. it was basically the same as what happened on monday, vet now thinks it may be a kidney/bowel/liver problem/infection. he was feeling his stomach etc and says his kidney feels rather enlarged :(

he was given another anti inflammatory injec and another pain killer injec, and we're back tomorrow morning to see whats next. he seems fine again now which is great but i'm starting to notice a pattern and am wondering how long these injections last for and if thats them just wearing off when he takes a turn again?

if he's ok tomorrow, it's a course of anti-bi's, if not x-rays. i'm trying to keep him hydrated bc of the fluids he's lost earlier, vet was questioning keeping him in and putting him on fluids overnight but we're going to keep him at home and give him some kind of glucose mix through syringe, (he's taking it well so far :))

hopefully we'll find out for sure soon bc the little angel is becoming terrified of the vets :(

Bless his little heart, because he is so young Sarah I would pop him to the vets incase he has swallowed something or has an inflamed Tummy.

Sending positive vibes for his speedy recovery - let us know how he gets on xxx

:( the little one seems poorly again :(

he just had a bit of diarrhea, and was squeaking loudly as if he was in pain during it. there was no blood in it, just a bit runny. then after it he was wretching and brought up some milk and food.

he's isn't foaming at the mouth again yet but everytime i touch him he squeaks, as if he just wants to be left alone.

i've noticed he's drank quite a lot of water today on top of wet food and 30ml milk..

i don't know whether to hold off vets till tomorrow morning and check his next poo or what, i'm going to phone and ask them anyways.

again, any advice appreciated guys :'(

i bet you could :evillaugh: you know lulu and riley don't really need new gold, diamond encrusted collers this christmas

Really wish I could but it would stretch me too far at the moment  :(  Funny you should say about the collars, tonight I put my foot down and the boys both have their £1.99 Pets at Home (breakaway) collars on - they've been on well over 3 hours which is a world record for them both  :evillaugh:

we weren't sure about keeping him helen, but john absolutely loves him as well, and 3's a good number for kittys you know ;)

Funny you should say that, I keep calling Riley 'Mummy's biggest boy' and Lu 'Mummy's littlest boy' like there is something inbetween not just 'big boy' and 'little boy'.  Really can't afford a third (or fourth) at the moment though  :(

my mum was winding me up saying if this is what i'm like with a kitten what will i be like with a baby :Luv2: i dread to think

At that age they can try and vomit worms.

lesley - thats interesting, i didn't know that. he was wormed half a milbemax last wednesday.

jo - probably a mix of hormones and bc of what happened to missy :(

helen - he has no siblings, was a little orphan, the owners were going to put him out in the street with the mum cat (who was attacking him) :( he's an absolute sweetheart.

this is the wee one, he's got very similar markings and colouring to charlie, he's named harry :Luv:

jo thanks, i'll maybe try a feed during the night then bc he's a good wee eater, loves his milk ;D

we're going back to the vet tomorrow anyway to see how he is. i just started thinking the worst case scenario straight away, get myself in such a panic :-[

if there is no sign of grogginess, I would feed no earlier than five hours after the anaesthetic. If he is still groggy then leave it a little longer.

wellll...

was in vet an hour and 40 mins :tired: they gave him a local ana to get a look down his throat but didn't see anything..

vet seems to think he's ate something which has got lodged in his wee throat.

he was given an injection of some kind of painkiller and i was told to observe him over night, but he's perking up already :)

took him to my mums there and he got a good cuddle off her while i sat there in floods of tears :( i've took him home again, i think we're going to keep this little one, he's got a special place in my heart and charlie and tilly adore him :Luv: he's snuggled into my neck now, staring at me with his big eyes..

thanks so much for all your advice everyone, don't know what i'd do without you lot

any advice on feeding tonight after anaesthetic? xxx
