It was the night before Christmas at the bridge
The cats were preparing for that special night
It was calm this year as she was there
For so long she had guided them on this night
And their tales had been told
Tonight she sat calm in her rocking chair
Sipping the diet coke and stroking each soft head
As they milled around waiting
On the night before Christmas
Just before twelve the gatekeeper came
Welcome Rainbow she said ruffling his hued fur
Will you come with me he said
