Title: Millie
Post by: gatughirl on May 09, 2019, 20:28:28 PM
I’m new to this forum. I have to take my 15 year old cat back to the vet tomorrow.  They felt a growth last week. She’s lost weight and isn’t eating. She really just comes out of her wee bed to get a drink and use the litter tray. I’m dreading what will happen tomorrow. I’m definitely fearing the worst.

Hello.  Welcome to Purrs.  Am So sorry this is a troubling time for you.  I can only begin to imagine how anxious you'll be feeling.

Where is Millie's growth?  Have they ruled out hyperthyroidism?

What time is your appointment?

Am sending every positive thought and good wish for your gorgeous girl.

Has Millie been with you since she was a kitten?

Hi Sue

Thanks so much for your reply. I think it’s in her wee tummy, the vet said last week that she could feel her kidneys and this was a separate thing.

I’m going in early tomorrow so I’m feeling pretty anxious.

I rescued Millie when she was about 6 months old. She’s been my constant companion since then and we’ve been through a lot together.

Thanks for your kind words they really mean a lot.

Hi and  :welcome: to Purrs, although I am sorry you have found us at such a difficult time  :( We all know the anxiety you are feeling. I wish I could tell you that everything will be OK, but I can't make that promise. Our thoughts are with you and I am sending lots of vibes ~~~ for your girls recovery.

Please excuse the large font. One of our members has visual difficulties, so this makes things easier for her to read.

Thank you all. Your kind words and support mean a lot. My lovely Millie passed away this morning. I’m heartbroken but know I did the right thing. We had 15 wonderful years together and she was so loved

Oh treasure.  I'm so sorry.    :care:

We all know how devastated you're feeling right now.  It's the loneliest feeling in the world.
You shared your life, and love with Millie for fifteen fabulous years.  What a gift you exchanged with each other.

Chase the rainbows Millie.  You will never be forgotten, and the love won't ever fade.
