THIS IS MY STANLEY, I ADOPTED HIM FROM A CAT RESCUE YESTERDAY.
PRETTY SURE HE IS GONNA BE IN THE NORTY CLUB AS HE WAS VERY MISCHIEVIOUS LAST NIGHT ;)

ASDA CAME THIS MORNING SO I GOT MY COOKED CHICKEN OUT AND HE CAME OVER STRAIGHT AWAY AND TOOK A PIECE OUT OF MY HAND BUT THEN HE DROPPED IT ON THE FLOOR. PERHAPS I WILL TRY HIM WITH SOME DREAMIES LATER ON.

Cheeky monkey :evillaugh:! Bob has dazzling white bits usually too, that is why I posted the pic of her with dirty paws, think she managed to get oil on them as it stayed for ages.

Tummy rubs are a privilege earned Mary, and it's very early days yet, so don't be too downhearted. Malt and Barley wouldn't let us touch their tummies initially, although we can touch both now. Moray however doesn't like his tummy touched at all, and will wallop you with big catcher's mitts to let you know about it. :scared:

Oh he's gorgeous and so chilled out. He may allow tummy rubs when he's got to know you better. Mosi and Kito love tummy rubs. I think Mosi is addicted to them. Sometimes I go to sleep with my face buried here n his tummy fur and wake up in the same position.
Stanley certainly has landed on his paws.

I DON'T THINK HE LIKES MEN. WHEN ASDA CAME THE OTHER DAY HE BENT DOWN TO STROKE HIM AND HE WENT TO GIVE HIM A LITTLE BITE BUT HE PULLED HIS HAND AWAY IN TIME. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE GLOVES HE WAS WEARING BUT WHEN JOHN CAME YESTERDAY HE JUST WALKED STRAIGHT PAST HIM AND MADE NO EFFORT TO GO NEAR HIM.
THERE HAVE BEEN 4 DIFFERENT CARERS HERE SINCE HE CAME ON MONDAY TEA TIME AND EVERY ONE OF THEM HE HAS RUBBED AGAINST THEIR LEGS AND LET THEM STROKE HIM.

MAYBE HE HAS HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MEN, I KNOW IT WAS MAN WHO ABUSED MISA AND MOST AT LANGFORD WHO HAVE BEEN LOOKING AFTER HIM HAVE BEEN WOMEN.
I THINK THE MAIN THING IS THAT YOU HAVE THIS IDEA SO YOU CAN TAKE PRECAUTIONS IF NECESSARY.
IF HE WILL JUST WALK PAST THEM AND IGNORE THAT IS GOOD.

I know that when I got Barney, he had been returned to the pet shop at 3 months because he bit and scratched, I went to order a Chinchilla and I felt so sorry for him surrounded by small teeny kittens. He came home in a cardboard carrier on the back of my mate Nick's Harley. He was petrified of children. When my friend brought hers round Barney would disappear for about two days behind the sofa. He had a broken nose, I am guessing that the two kids were rough and that is why he bit and scratched. >:( >:( >:( I loathe people who get the kids pets and teach them no respect for them.

Mmmm tummy rubs. Grouch is a BIG no no :scared: Billy rather likes at 3am in the dark if you're lying down :shify: Bob doesn't care. Dinah loves to encourage you so she can kick the hell out of you :-: Ruby quite likes em but Noni .... well Noni is da queen of tummy rubs..... absolutely loves, nay demands em constantly :wow:
I suspect our Stan will allow one day for a short while on his terms but he looks like a strong boy Mary. Am quite sure you can go at his pace and wait till he's ready. You both still in getting to know each other mode.

Oh yes, definitely need daily updates and pics! You can't keep that gorgeous hunk all to yourself! I so love his white bits (and the rest of him!). He looks very relaxed. It sounds as though he's had a bad experience with a man or is just unused to being around men but at least if you know he has bitey tendencies towards the male of the species you can be prepared.

AT 3.04 A.M. I HEARD THIS LOUD RUSTLING NOISE NEAR MY BED. I PUT THE LIGHT ON, ONLY TO FIND STANLEY SAT THERE RIPPING IN TO A BAG OF DREAMIES. THIS WAS AN UNOPEN BAG THAT HE HAD DRAGGED OR CARRIED, (I DO NOT KNOW) FROM THE OPPOSITE END OF THE ROOM TO THE END OF THE ROOM WHERE I WAS.
WHY HE DIDN'T EAT THEM AT THE END WHERE HE PINCHED THEM FROM I DON'T KNOW, PERHAPS HE WANTED TO SHOW ME A SAMPLE OF HIS NAUGHTINESS ;)

Pippin and Pi do, it is not unusual for me to find a chewed open pack of Felix Crispies on the front room floor, they open the cat cupboard in the kitchen, drag them out and chew holes in to access the treats. Anyone who thinks that cats are thick are delusional! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Our lovely Mary has been poorly over Christmas and the New Year with that nasty flu bug that was going round.
Stanley has been manfully taking care of his Mum, and making sure she has all the loving snoozles she needs, but nonetheless, we're adding some more to the pot, to make sure Momma Mary is back up to speed as soon as possible. :) :)

It's so hard. I know that feeling too. It's very bleak. Many of us will resonate with that. But birthdays need to be celebrated - especially Stanley, who has become everything he could ever have wanted to his Mum. :)

MY CLEANING LADIES, GEORGE AND KAYLEIGH HAVE BEEN GETTING ME LOTS OF UNITS FROM IKEA AND BUILDING THEM UP FOR ME.
