Title: I've lost my Frodo.

Just to let you know I haven't disappeared. I just won't be posting for a bit. I had to have the vet out in the early hours to let Frodo go. I can't talk about it at the moment. I'm just too upset. He was fifteen and a half with CKD and suddenly went down hill rapidly. I stayed up all night with him and in the early hours he started fitting badly. I had to let him go as he was suffering.

I'm so sorry Julie  :hug:  Jaffa had CKD and I know they can go downhill all of a sudden.  We are all here for you  :hug:

I am so sorry, we lost Fred and Ginger to kidney problems, it is just heartbreaking.

Just seen this Julie and am so very sorry for your loss.  CKD is a wicked condition.  I feel for you deeply and fully understand your wish to withdraw into yourself.

I know that nothing will console you right now but we are all here for you when you are ready.

RIP Frodo you were loved so much and will always be a purr in your humans heart.

There are so many nice words we can say to you but they are usually bloody useless at a time like this :hug: :hug: :( :'(

However, cos most of us have had to do this horrible but kind thing we know what we say will comfort you when you are ready to read our thoughts.

Frodo will soon find Bonnie and lots of other Purrs cats that are now able to be comforted by each other.

I saw this earlier Julie but could not reply as I was to upset.
I am so very  sorry that you had to let little Frodo go. It is such a hard thing to do. I know how much you loved him as you love all your lovely cats.

I am so very sorry for your loss. You gave him the last great gift and let him fly free gently. He is at peace now and away from his pain. He has joined the great circle of life again but Frodo's soul stays in your heart forever.
Play well at the bridge Frodo where time has no meaning. Your friends will join your when they are ready xx

We all understand and have been there sadly.

In time the good memorys take over mostly but it can take a long time and I now think of all the crazy wonderful things that Kocka used to do and how Napoleon and Misa used to rush for the same place by my head on the bed, with Ducha just slipping round the otherside to lie on my head.

Bonnie's on my screensaver on my phone and my computer, I thought about changing them but I haven't  :Luv2:I use my phone as my alarm cos my clock was too loud for Bonnie.  WhenI look at the pics on my phone sometimes I cry and go to sleep but other times I smile and go to sleep. Also I still wake up in the night and turn to give Bonnie a kiss and it's just an empty pillow next to mine  :'(  We just have to keep thinking what a wonderful time they had with us and us with them and keep smiling  :hug: :hug:

It's 5 years since I lost my beloved Chivers. I'm just starting to be able to remember him with a smile - sometimes. It's a long process but that just bears testament to how much love the spirit is capable of  :hug:

I is hard losing them and it takes ages to get used to it. We never get over it completely. We lost Laz in March and Alice in December 2013 - I can't believe it is nearly 2 years. I can remember going to the chippy on her last day to buy her a piece of her favourite cod to hand feed her at the vets next door. Also Willow and Clapton a few years previously. Still hard to look at photos and videos sometimes.

As others have said, most of us have been through it, so completely understand  :hug:

Mark i did the same thing with Elvis, the only thing he would eat towards the end was some proper fish from the chip shop.
