Post by: chrisnjulie on September 19, 2015, 16:44:00 PM
Hi all
We are new to all this . We got our kitten last week and is just starting to settle in .
We also have 3 dogs who are all great with the new arrival but are never left alone with her .
We will be asking lots of advice as always been 'dog people'

Please don't encourage Bickamwitch with pics of animals in clothing  :shify:

You will be in danger of falling out with her cat Thierry who is a Spynx and is trying everything he can think of to stop his ma from trying to put clothes on him  :evillaugh:

Oh, I now see your newbie's name is Sophie  :)  What a lovely name for such a little sweetie  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Haha I definitely do not dress my dogs up , they are purely drying coats . By the time we get home they are nearly dry .

My name is Julie and our kitten is Sophie .

She loves snuggling into my neck and tries to suckle . She is just adorable . I put her by her food when she does the suckling thing and she always eats some of her food .

Been there, done that, got the T - Shirt. or in Thierry's case his first baby vest for premature babies. He soon learnt to dump that one at a tender age. This led to his habit of getting rid of every bit of clothing I bought for him. I haven't tried him in red. Wonder if he'd like a red coat to try. Sadie has a nice red coat. Wonder if I could borrow that one. LOL..
Julie.

Didn't I warn ya Julie?   :evillaugh:  (that's Sophie's mom Julie)  Thierry has his own blog that I'm told often mentions his loathing for clothes but it all falls on deaf ears  :( :(  ;)  Red indeed  :innocent:

Love that Sophie suckles into your neck Julie and that you use that opportunity to let her feed. It's great that she has already been checked out by the vet who doubtless gave you advice on flea treatment, worming, microchipping and spaying in due course.  Sounds very much like you'll be  a great cat mom  :)

We have had four kittens here over the last 4 to 6 years but they have either come with their mom or were quite a bit older than 6 to 8 weeks.  I do hope all goes well.  Have little doubt that Sophie will be bossing the dogs about before too long.  That always seems to be the way it goes  :)

Poor Thierry! It wouldn't be so bad if the things didn't drown him. Mind you, the blue velvet number is very smart :)

Sophie has also just been trying to suckle of one of our dogs bless her .
I am so chuffed how readily the dogs have accepted her ( don't worry I will not be taking it for granted , they are never left alone )

You are right to be cautious; although am pretty sure your dogs will be more than maternal in their feelings towards her, it's good to be cautious.

Do post as many pics as you want to.  You will never bore us, believe me  :) :) :)
