Title: South Yorks: two 15 year olds at risk of pts (Sorted)
Post by: midgecat on July 14, 2014, 21:30:52 PM
We've had a message today from a guy who has broken his hip.  He's had to move out of his home (with stairs) and move into a flat, leaving his two cats behind.  He's been relying on friends/family to feed them but its a bit sporadic and the cats are losing weight and going to neighbours desperate for some fuss and attention.  He's in a bit of a state about it and is going to have to give up the house in the next week or so.  All the rescues he's tried (including us) are full and the advice he's been given is to have them put to sleep.

They're neutered..  Not particularly attached to each other - he describes them as "chalk and cheese".  I'm not aware of any health issues but am trying to get some more info, and also to clarify whether he needs them permanently rehomed, or whether he wants them to come back to him  when he's mobile again.  He's said he's happy to contribute to their care - though I've not been able to clarify details.

We can't take them at the moment.  Full with mums and kittens, and anxieties that we may have ring worm here.   Can anyone help?
