My sweet cat Zain went missing over Christmas, he went out on Christmas eve and has not been back since. I have leafleted and posted all over the internet, phoned all the vets, registered his chip on databases...hoping that someone might have some information about him. Please call 07770 907304 if you think you may have seen him. Thanks!

So sorry you've lost your lovely cat, hopefully he will be soon home.

Thanks for your messages everyone; I'm happy to report that he is home, safe and sound. After 4 weeks, he was found near Victoria station, about 2.5 miles away from my house. I have no idea how he got there, including crossing the Thames somehow. Thankfully he is completely unharmed and even seems to have kept himself relatively clean and fed while he was roaming around.
Good luck to everyone who is still searching for their lost one; hopefully my saga will cheer you up and reassure you that cats are super resilient, and often come home even after a long time being away. Oh yes, and microchips are the best invention since sliced bread and beer.

What fantastic news!
How on earth did he cross the river - hitch a lift? :sneaky:
-
I really don't know (: I would like to think that he is special enough to have worked out how to use the Tube, but my best guess is that he must have crossed one of the bridges late at night when there wasn't any traffic. What a mystery. Makes me want to tie a GPS and camera onto him...if I ever let him out of the house again, that is.

Such wonderful news, I bet he jumped into a trade van, or hitched a ride with ocado! ;D

wow what brilliant news! glad to hear he is home safe and well. years ago I rescued Humphrey the Downing Street Cat, he travelled from Downing Street to Pimlico near Victoria, a long trek for a cat, we think he hitched a lift :evillaugh:
