Title: Introducing Tilly....
Post by: JackSpratt on October 07, 2013, 17:45:36 PM
Just wanted to let folk know about the most recent stray case I'm helping with. This is Tilly....She doesn't look especially old and has already had at LEAST a litter of kittens; we're not entirely sure just how many she's had in all honesty.

I'm posting for good luck vibes for her as I've managed to get funds together for a chip and spay, and she's in a foster home while a permanent place is found. :) Her op is Friday.

What a complete sweetheart and she looks so terribly sad!  I hope someone can give her cuddles, hugs, toys, food, and a nice forever home to bring back that smile again. :Luv:

I'm hoping someone I know can win her OH over regarding a permanent home. She's working on him, I'm told. ;)

Hope it all works out for Tilly, JS.  Little Tilly is gorgeous and deserves lots of love, hugs and kisses plus plenty of toys and treats!  ;D

Tilly's op was fine. :) She's back at her foster home recovering but sadly the potential home have decided they can't afford a second cat....so Tilly still needs a permanent home.

It's good they decided they can't afford now instead of after they have taken her.  Hopefully someone around the corner soon.

Very true Mary! I'm not sure we would have agreed to take Cleo if we had known she would cost us £500 in her first few weeks (she is an adult, that didn't include chip n snip)!

I agree Mary. These things aren't something you should do on a whim, but it's a shame because they're a great home.

I think probably the good homes are always going to be more cautious. You want to make sure you can give the cat a really good home and can afford the best for them. I  know we were very cautious taking our two on as we were pretty skint at the time. It all worked out ok as we are both working now.

She's a gem apparently. :) She's sharing her foster home with 4 other cats with no issues at all; she's even accepting of the kids that come round. Not a fan of dogs, though.....

Make that permanent home... ;) Got a message last night telling me the decision hadn't been taken lightly; but the lady and her husband had grown awfully fond of Tilly and she was being accepted by the other cats. Ms Tilly is now a permanent member of their family. Photo updates have been promised to me. :)

That is great news, as a failed Fosterer myself I know how easy it is, they get one paw in the door and that's it.   :Luv2:
