Title: Poorly sick and would like to ask a favour
Post by: Rebecca on July 10, 2012, 17:13:10 PM
I've been so busy with modelling that I've not been posting online very much at all, apart from my modelling blog (which is nsfw so no link here) and now my personal one.

But now, I want to ask you all a favour. Please, please follow my http://booksandfoodanddogsandstuff.wordpress.com/ (http://booksandfoodanddogsandstuff.wordpress.com/) as, having been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, I am trying to raise a smile and knowing I have followers is going to help.

Thank you
xx

So sorry to hear this

We have a thread called the A-team which is very long but if you go to the very first post you will see why it was created and had a different name  ;)

This is the place where we will support you and help you through this bad time as we did for Alison

She like you asked for support and now we are all very good friends some hmmmmmm about 3-4 years on. The thread has moved on too but we can squeeze you in if thats what you would like  :innocent:

Its a great place to be  and will get the link for you  ;D

Hello Yasmin.  You're the lady who does the most wonderful animal portraits, yes?   :wow:

Am devastated to learn that you've been diagnosed with breast cancer.  If I may say so, you're approaching it in a very positive way.

AND - this has to be one of the most purrfect places to gain followers for your blog (which is wonderful by the way - and you look fabulous in the wig you chose  ;D).

And our very own Alison (A Team thread - pop by if you can) has undergone breast cancer treatment and come through with great humour and attitude.  She'll be one of the loudest to cheer you on, am sure.   The A Team thread began when Alison too found herself in your position, and in need of a little support and encouragement through the not-so-good times.

She's great is Alison - very positive and very special, and you strike me to be cut from the same cloth - you'll grab this thing by the throat and whup it's bad little ass too.   :sneaky:

You don't need to worry about having supporters - we'll be with you for as long as you want us.   In fact you may have to take out injunctions!  :evillaugh:

Also wanted to say - gosh - you're so pretty!   :wow:

It's good to try the wig out for a few hours each day until you get used to it.   A friend of mine who had a brain tumour used to use Fabreze to freshen her wig, and it was a doddle to look after - she had a similar style to yours, and it really suited her - again, because it wasn't so dissimilar to her own style and colour.  Definitely ask about reclaiming the vat.     That £40 worth is "frivel" money for you to treat yourself to the occasional pamper session or some new make up/clothes - frivolous things to make you smile when you're feeling low or a bit sore.  It's very important that.  So is taking each day one at a time.

Ah - I see Gill is on the same wavelength and has already mentioned about Alison's A Team thread.  great minds, and all that  :evillaugh:

Just keep saying  :welcome: to Purrs on some newbie threads and you will be there before you can blink  ;D

Are you the lady that did Rosellas Freddie?

Yasmin, you look fantastic in all the wigs and I expect you are going to look pretty damn gorgeous even if you do have no hair for a while.

I will certainly read your blog and thank you for sharing it with us, you have a very inspiring positive attitude.

All the very very best and take care.

Yes, Gill, I drew Freddie; he was a lovely cat...and Sue, yes, that's me!

What I've found quite a bit already is that I often get a little criticised for putting so much emphasis on how my treatment is going to effect my looks and I get emails from other ladies who hear the same. I'm well aware that hairless, and in need of boob work is immeasurably better than the alternative, but while I do indeed draw portraits, I also make a living as a model...a very saucy one!

So having two boobs is rather crucial to my work. Or is it? I have a loyal fanbase who follow me not just for the naughtiness but because they get to discuss literature, philosphy, politics etc with me. So I really want to show that I can still feel and hopefully look attractive and sexy even at a time like this. I'm picking up a lot of lady followers on my model website for this very reason.

I shall read the A-Team thread as soon as I have posted enough to access it!

Thank you, everybody. I'm finding that what's helping the most is having people in my corner.

Yasmin xx

Yasmin - hah - I'm sorry - but people have really criticised you for expressing concern about something so fundamental as how you feel about your looks?!!!   How callous.  >:(

How  :censored: unfeeling and insensitive - in fact how utterly priggish!!   Everyone has different concerns and worries in situations like this and no-one - absolutely no-one  - has the right to sit in judgment of you, however mild or well meaning.

Don't you dare feel you can't express that sort of thing.

Like I said initially - you are so pretty, and I can well imagine you have a loyal fanbase for your modelling.  I think you should still be able to carry on with that after everything settles down.  Reconstructive surgery now is excellent - so much better than it was.  And look at Katie Price - she's had them bigger, smaller, bigger again, smaller again - she's lost nothing by it in terms of supporters.

If people are critical about you - whether by so much as a centimetre or a millimetre - it tells you more about them and their own insecurities than it does about yours, treasure.  For sure!

Just thinking about this logically too, with regard to your saucy modelling  :naughty: with clever photography, there should be absolutely no bar to your continuing to work.  Angle and lighting can be utilised brilliantly - you'll know that anyway as an artist, so am probably teaching me grannie how to suck a particular egg - and an artfully draped anything (scarf, muslin fichu, cat, dog, reader's digest - you know the thing) will be just perfect!

We should start putting ideas into your head now, if you ask me.   :shify:

I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with breast cancer   Good luck with your treatment   You will find plenty of support on here and you can rant as much as you like.  I think anyone in your situation would be worried about how it affects their looks - when you're feeling down (physically or emotionally) making yourself look nice can really lift your spirits so it's crazy to pretend looks don't matter or that you shouldnt think of them at times like this.

Sue,

My surgeon has said because I am very tiny (32A) it would be impossible to reconstruct so small, so I'll have to be bigger and obviously (I assume) he will make the good one match. So, 32B or maybe even C here I come. I shall have to learn to balance all over again! I wonder how Katie Price adjusts.

I'm in the low end of the lowest risk group for this, the only risk being my age, 51 next month. But I guess the risk is never zero.

Being a cat site Purrs is jammed full of ladies and am sure that all will support you either with thought or with words.  ;D ;D

What ever is important to a person should be respected by others, for goodness sake we were all made different and what a boring world it would be if we were all the same.

I am sure that you will get through all of this just as our wonderful Alison did and think you are around the same age range as she was when diagnosed.

Sue is our wordsworth and says so many good things and sure that loads of ideas are around that may appeal but you being an artist will also have great ideas I am sure  ;D ;D ;D

Hi Yasmin

Just seen this thread and have just read your blog.  The wig looks just fabulous.  Well aren't you just the prettiest, most talented (Freddie's portrait  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: ) and courageous of wimmin  :wow: :wow: :wow:

I'd say luckiest too (your OH  ;) ) but am so very sorry to hear about the breast cancer :(  I had a (thankfully all OK) scare a couple of months back so understand the bruising from the biopsy but, oh dear, my heart goes out to you for the later tests you have had to go through

Being  a regular contributor to and reader of The A Team (formerly "chemotherapy fears") thread on Purrs helped me enormously to stay positive whilst waiting for the results.  Alison started the thread and led us all through her experience which was a real eye opener helping me realise that the treatment nowadays, whilst very unpleasant at times, is remarkably effective.

The fact that you are such a fit and healthy person with a zest for life and you have a fabulous rock for another half is going to help you enormously I'm sure

Not had chance to read your blog yet, Yasmin, but I will later when I'm home and have some time tonight.

I'm sorry to read about your breast cancer. It's a dreadful worry, and having been diagnosed with early cervical cancer at the age of 22, (24 years ago!) I know how that feeling stays with you night and day. I got through mine, as you will get through yours.

I like that you have a sexy side. I think sexy is as sexy does, no matter what a person looks like. Sexy for me is how someone feels, behaves and interacts with others. You don't need a perfect body to be sexy, so please don't let any of your current issues affect the sexy side of your life  :shy: :) Maintaining a focus on your sexyness will help you to remain positive and confident in the coming months.

Please do stay with us on Purrs, we all admire your art hugely and will do whatever we can to keep your spirits up.

Gill's right - in a way it has become a diary of our lives and its lovely to have somewhere you can have a laugh with friends, share things that are going wrong or just rabbit (my own personal failing...  ;).  Without the friendship and support I've had there in recent months, I doubt I'd have rallied as quickly from some of life's hard knocks.

Sue, thank you. Your hug was well timed...just when I needed it.

And Bunglycat, my husband tells me Lincolnshire is a very large county! We're in Sleaford...a very small town in a very large county.

I have my first chemo session on Thursday so am making sure I have all the little bits and bobs which will make it easier (eye drops, ice cubes, laxatives (yuk), the opposite of laxatives (even yukkier) and vast amounts of patience...it will be an all-dayer. Hey ho...gotta be done!
Title: Re: Poorly sick and would like to ask a favour
Post by: Sue P (Paddysmum) on July 13, 2012, 13:00:46 PM

Yasmin, I've heard some people say that using plastic dishes and cutlery can help if your food tastes a bit "odd" after chemo.

Also I remember my friend (the wonderful Helen) found her nose would run at inopportune times whilst she was on chemo - something to do with the loss of those wonderful little hairs inside the nose that form a protective filter and also - as we discovered at that point - from stopping your brains exiting your nostrils!  Maybe worth slipping a little pack of kleenex into handy pockets and bags just in case?

What time will you have to leave home on Thursday?

Sue, I have tissues at the ready stationed all over the house and in bags and pockets! I've been warned about taste being effected but hadn't heard of using plastic cutlery...I shall dig out the picnic stuff.

We're dropping the car off for a new exhaust (the garage is close to the hospital) but to avoid rush hour traffic we'll need to leave at 7.45ish..early I know as I don't need to be at the hospital until 9.45. It usually takes us half an hour or 45mins-ish, We'll grab a coffee somewhere. We'll be there all day for this first one.

Bunglycat, my husband (a driving instructor) used to have a student in Swinderby :)

Hi there Yasmin  :)  I went to Morrison's yesterday and they were giving away free vegetable knives .... if you put up with a 5 minute sales talk.

Thought your OH might like to know in case he needs to chop an onion  :innocent:
Title: Re: Poorly sick and would like to ask a favour

Oh Rosella, you may be on to something. He could have his own knives and boards and pans and mine would stay pristine.

Sue_P, I have two the same (I'm considering a third while it's half price online). I chose the style because it is the same colour and cut as my own hair, but a little longer. Tomorrow I'm collecting a different one...similar cut but different colour!

Dawn, it's funny, but when I was in my teens I longed for curly hair...now I love that it's straight. A lot of people are telling me when their hair grew back it was curly, not wavy, not big glamorous rolls, but curly wurly...yikes!

And Thank You to Gill, Sue_P and Sheila for your waves and hellos...it really does help me start the day well :)

Gill, I saw your A-Team wave...thank you. I think I may have to read selective pages on that thread...'tis rather long!

Yasmin, don't worry too much about the curlies - Helen's hair initially grew in curly, but it's now back to its former straightness.  It looked lovely both ways.  Mind you - I have very - erm - unruly curly frizzy curls so I am a tad biased......  :-[

Hey treasure, how are you today?      Ross has had a languid stretch and is waiting to find out whether you need a poke inna eye, or whether you'd rather have a snoozle (which is like a snuzzle, but with more "ooo")?

I think a third's a good idea if they've got them on offer at half price.  (wigs I mean - not snoozles, although Ross doesn't normally charge for snoozles, it has to be said - they're freely given  :Luv:)

I always wanted curly hair too.  I had it permed when me and ex split up in 1985 (also had my ears pierced; quite the devil I woz  ;) ).  My sister came back from Auzzieland a couple of months later for her 1st visit since emigrating and, as kindly as she could, told me it looked bloody awful  :sigh: so I grew it out as quick as poss.  I bet your curly wig isn't a tight perm though eh Yasmin? and you'll look fab in any hair style  :)

Just popping by to say you'll be in my thoughts as you battle through tomorrow's treatment Yasmin.  Battling this thing is the only way to go

Morning Yasmin   :)

Just wanted to say, we'll all be thinking of you throughout the day today, and all of us are wishing you well, hoping things go as smoothly as possible.   Make sure you have your kit packed with all of your useful bits and pieces.

Ross wants to give you a very special big fat stripey snoozle which will last throughout the day, and I'm sending you a jar of hugs - you may have to look closely, but believe me it's with your emergency kit.  It's brimful of hugs - some plumpitty ones, some small ones you can easily have when no-one's looking, some fierce and extra strong ones - all of them just for you.  Doesn't even matter if you can't get the top off - you just select the hug you want in your mind, and it's there.   :Luv:           :cat rub:

And after today, it means it's one session less - one down, and one off your plan.   ;D

Sending you tons of love.

Yasmin, just found your thread :-[

I would like to wish you all the best. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 51 too.

My friend, who had breast cancer before me is a small lady in the boob department and she had a fantastic reconstruction op also going up a size.

I must say all the amazing ladies on A Team kept me going through my treatment and I now have some wonderful friends ;D

Please come and join in the A Team too as well as your thread

Let me know if I can help in anyway, you can always pm me

It will be good to get the first chemo session out of the way. I found it was good to have some soda water in as I often prefered to drink that to anything else :)

My hair grew back curly but after a tear or so the curls drop and its pretty much back to normal now :)

Thinking about you and I am here any time for a chat, can send my email if you would like

Thank you so much everyone..I've only just read all your messages and thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've posted on my blog about yesterday...it was good and a little bad-ish...I have a year of Herceptin after my six  months chemo but it's all for a good reason so I'm cool with it. Not as cool as I was yesterday...why do I find hospitals so cold when everyone else complains they're too hot? I shall be taking a small blanket next time...I shall look like a little old lady having a nap!

Yay - you're back!!   :wow:

Catching up on your blog entry - crikey - that's a lot going on.  Am sorry to learn it's the more aggressive type of cancer, but you can - and will - beat it.     The care you're getting sounds fantastic - I think its something the NHS do particularly well in this field of oncology.  You keep taking your chocolate - very importunt that.   ;) :wow:  Am sure we've all perked up at that.  Hope Green & Blacks get to know.  :evillaugh:

Oddly enough, the last time I had to spend any time in hospital I felt it was cold too (except for when I was running a temperature, when I found it was hot - very very hot!)

Because your immune system is supressed, you'll feel the cold more, but that should pass once everything's back up and running near normal again.     Am rubbish with chess moves, alas.  I used to keep all my pawns in the same place   Hope you can have an evening catching up on 24 now.   :Luv:

Snoozles to you from Ross.    :catlove2:

Yasmin thats one down

I am wondering if you will be on taxol, the drug I was on a trial for. Its brilliantly effective. I was also on epirubicin too.

For some reason they seemed to keep the chemo room on the cool side at Cheltenham and I needed a blanket.

Sending a big hug

I do miss the headbutt thing from a cat and one of my Siamese ones use to sleep curled up under my chin in bed. He was so warm and soft.

Thank you everyone. I'm still feeling ok, though a little tired. Some people I've spoken to are fine till day 3 then it hits them, some are rough from day one for a few days. So I'm still on the lookout for signs of roughness. But I'm also hoping that I may be one of the rare few who don't do too badly at all. It's now I'm glad I've been such a stickler over the years about what I eat and how I look after myself...all good preparation for this bag of doo doo.

It's a stunningly beautiful morning here. Your messages are making me smile, your support is doing more good than I can put into words...

...and that Toyboy who hangs around the place? Well, he's making me smile  :Luv:

Sue, I had a couple of pointy faced siamese, one lynx point (Kai) and one lilac point (Ting). I also had a blue burmese (Rumpole) with a serious runny nose problem!

I've had a big black cat called Little Boy and a tiny tortoishell called Little Girl. Also a black and white moggy called Liberty who took her name literally and ran away and a very beautiful long haired tabby called Eggy Fat Cat. It's her on the header of my portrait website http://yasmincolemanportraits.wordpress.com/ (http://yasmincolemanportraits.wordpress.com/)

Here's the response to my plea...

Hi there Sheila

First of all – lovely blog, as someone who has been affected by cancer in the family in the past it’s always nice to see some positivity, and it’s very funny reading

Unfortunately we no longer handle the PR for Green and Blacks, however I can give you the email of one of the lovely ladies who do, and I’m sure they’d love to read about Yasmin

Georgie_Brown@JCPR.com is Georgie Brown’s email over at Jackie Cooper PR, alternatively the phone number over at JCPR is 02030474000 if you want to have a quick chat with them

I wish you both the very best of luck and hopefully you can beat it!

Thanks

Samuel Belizaire

I'll be composing another request later today, to the right person this time  :evillaugh:

One of the most favourite things I ever bought that made me smile was a gift bag for birthdays, and it had a guy on the front and a woman on the back, and underneath each figure it said "Today is all about me!" I loved that.   ;) ;D

Oh my word...you ladies are beyond amazing.

Gill, tell Lupin there's a great tree right outside the front of the house. One of the local cats climbs it and peeps in the windows to taunt the dog. It's very dense this year and has been full of birds' nests.

Thank you, TigerLily...you know, I'm always a tad cold...not enough meat on my bones!

Sheila, thank you so much for that. That's brilliant.

And Sue, thank you. I'm still feeling far getter than I expected so I'm keeping my fingers crossed

Yesterday was a beautiful day and today looks to be going the same way o I shall enjoy this enforced time off while I can

Cats like to torment dogs, don't they?  My eldest stepdaughter's dog is petrified of Ross - he quivers and whines and his tail goes between his legs as his ears droop.  The very picture of abject misery (which of course Ross loves, as he flexes those feline muscles and kicks metaphorical sand in the face of a small Jack Russell terrier  :evillaugh:)

Good morning, everyone and thank you for all your messages.

I shall sort out a post on the blog today about the second chemo. It was ok in a "this is not ok but it kind of is" sort of way. I was shattered yesterday but am up and about today although plans have been scuppered by the arrival of "Aunt Flo". The Chemo Guy told me my periods would probably stop but I think I filtered out his "probably".

ToyBoy has to work for a couple of hours this morning and then if the sun hangs around maybe we'll sit and canoodle in the garden.

Afternoon, Yasmin. A bit quiet at work today so I thought I'd send you a quick one of these  :you go girl:

I posted your blog to my friend in California: you now have a cat/wildlife/food/culture/music/art/G&B chocolate crazy Hawaiian/Finnish woman following your blog too. She had a nasty run-in with TB a couple of years back - another survivor just happy to help ;

Rock on, Yasmin.

Is it your birthday this weekend Yasmin?  If so, am hoping that it turns out to be a fab time (in spite of all the "urgh!") and sending you special birthday snoozles from me and Ross for the forthcoming celebration.

(And if it's not your birthday this weekend, still sending the snoozles cos they never come amiss!)

Hello everyone

I think we shall be putting my birthday on hold as my second chemo has really knocked me out. It's day nine now and I've been mostly horizontal since day one with no sign of it changing. I'm giving in to it though...no point in trying to do anything.

What's pi**ing me off the most is not being able to plan anything, not even from one hour to the next and I am so bored! I'm unable to concentrate to read so I've downloaded audio books to my Ipod but can't even keep the chemo fog from that!

And poor Ralph is getting the brunt of it. One more chewed letter or crazy barking at the local cats and I'm putting him on Ebay. I know I'm reacting to him because of how I feel and not because of what he's doing and it's so unfair on him. I've told him I will try to shout at him less and we'll go for walks when I feel up to it...I hope he believes me. All that said, when he senses I'm feeling bad he doesn't leave my side and I love him so much for that...I just wish he could do it quietly!

I know its frustrating Yasmin, as you say the chemo fog

I am sure in the next few days you will pick up and things will really improve by day 14.

You are doing the right thing not trying to fight it

Am sure Ralph understands

I am out of bed today  ;D

My birthday yesterday was rather a washout but I've decided not to mark the event anymore. The obligation to have a "lovely day" just because it's a particular date is a bit silly. I'm not sure I've ever had a lovely day just because it's been my birthday; I always have plenty of other lovely days though. And doesn't a gift mean so much more when it's not been sent because it's felt necessary? Every day has its own special moment; sometimes it's simply a cup of fresh coffee in the garden. Sometimes it's a sneaky snog in the wine ailse in Waitrose. That'll do for me...always has and always will!

We took the stinky dog (actually he had a shower today but is still stinky) for a very gentle, short stroll this afternoon around the block. It felt good to me to be out of the house so I guess it felt good to Ralph, too.

And now I have a new Kindle Touch to play with after dinner...and I am really looking forward to cooking dinner, I miss doing that so much.

Again, thank you for all your messages, ladies xx

I have been making the most of feeling fantastic over the past five days...I even enjoyed Tesco!

I love doing the housework and have been able to do it properly again. Oh and I've been cooking...real proper spend-all-day-in-the-kitchen cooking. My next chemo is Friday so I'm going to make the most of the next few days, too. Although. "Aunt Flo" has arrived very early which is a bit of a downer but hey ho!

I allowed Ralph to sit on my lap for a cuddle and realised that a stinky (even though he's had a shower...that's how energised I am) wriggly terrier is not the same as a slinky, snoozy cat.

Oh Yasmin - that's great!   Am so pleased you've been feeling so energised.   :wow:

:evillaugh:  Ah bless Ralph - he is what he is, and he loves his Mum.  ;D

I miss our Tess (although what she smelled of was warm honey, sunshine and fresh air - a very pleasing combination  :Luv2:  I used to sniff her ears and say "What do Tessie's ears smell of?  Honey and sunshine and fresh air...." and she would grin her big daft grin and push her face into mine  :))

I know what you mean though - there's something immeasurably pleasing about a sleek cat snoozing next to you.   :)   Ross sends a snoozle just for you.

Thank you, everyone.

The Herceptin infusion on Monday was fine...no adverse reaction although sitting around in on the chemo ward for six hours was extremely boring even with my Kindle and iPod. My husband was allowed to join me for a couple of hours which helped.

Today I have my first of six docetaxol which, they tell me, is the part of chemo with the yukkiest side-effects but I don't care...just give me all you've got! Fingers crossed for no bad reaction today...I need to have these drugs.

I shall be taking all your snoozles and head buts and hugs with me to sneak out of my bag when needed. I've taken the pre-docetaxol uber strong steroids and I'm buzzing!  :wow:

Will be thinking of you Yasmin.  Flex those muscles and bare your teeth and give that docexatol what-for.  And if you get tired, or yukky, get out one of those hugs or snoozles or headbutts and hold on tight.       You can take as may of those as you can stand, cos they only duz gud.   ;)  :)

Maybe while you're buzzing you should take advantage - is hubby about...?  :evillaugh:

Hopefully not in a direct line for Hurricane Sandy tonight - didn't want you worrying about wee ginger cats when you've got quite enough on your mind at the mo.

Hi Yasmin  :hi:

Hoping you're feeling a lot better today.

If it helps gauge things, the bruising and swelling from my recent leg op has today become unfeeling - by which I mean I can't feel any pain or discomfort and all my nice purple bruises have disappeared. I even managed a short jog to the bus!  ;)

Lets see now, if the same applies to you, you should be opening your Advent Calendar with perfectly pink skin.  :) Well, on one side, anyway  :shy:

Although there's still some pain and a while to go before her new breasts settle down, I'd like to raise a Purrs glass to her stoicism, the devotion of TB and wish her all the very best from her Purrs friends.  :Flowers: :Flowers: :Flowers:

Way to go, Yasmin! We're very proud of you. Spanking Cancer is no mean feat but you're doing it girl!  ;D ;D ;D

Big apologies, everyone, for not posting here more...but, I'm back!

I've had chemo, surgery, radiotherapy and am now having a year of Herceptin and five years of Tamoxifen. I'm hoping that's all the surgery I need but I'm seeing a consultant tomorrow and I'm keeping everything crossed.

It's been the toughest year I've ever known but with your support and the love and support of my wonderful husband I've got through it.

Thank you, all

And look...I have new boobs...wehey! They're called Bruce and Willis...

I've also changed my legal name to Rebecca...so many reasons for doing this and many for choosing Rebecca, although it sort of chose me.

You can read more about me, my wonderful ToyBoy and my awesome new bangers here http://booksandfoodanddogsandstuff.wordpress.com/ (http://booksandfoodanddogsandstuff.wordpress.com/)

And man, it's good to be back!
 ;D ;D ;D ;D

EDIT: I just caught up on this thread and you guys have me in tears now. Thank you so so so so much xx

Bruce and Willis look just perfect, Rebecca.  :wow:

I'm delighted for you and TB, and can't tell you how much I've learned and grown from following your blog and experiences. It has been a journey, and one I'll never forget.

Thank you for allowing me into your circle at such a difficult time, it feels so good to have been even a tiny part of your journey. Enjoy your re-birth as Rebecca.  ;D

I echo Sheila's sentiments.  It's been an absolute privilege to participate in your journey albeit at a very great distance, and a very humbling experience.  You are a total inspiration, and I love the fact that you're a fighter and a kick-ass kinda girl.

You're also stunningly beautiful, and your new boobs are absolutely amazing.   ;D

Rebecca - "beautifully ensnaring" - a good choice.

Your hair is gorgeous.  So pleased to see you gradually getting back in the saddle and herding them there cats (metaphorically speaking, that is  ;) )

Hope you're taking heed of this lovely weather, and still making time for a good read, a snooze under the sunshade, and a glass of wine.    :) :)
