Title: Lost Northwich/Winnington area, Black cat!
Post by: Paul C on February 27, 2012, 23:11:53 PM
My beloved Marvin has gone missing, he has been gone 1 week now, some might say this is not long for a cat but in the 5 years we have owned Marvin he has never done this. He is chipped & has a blue collar with brass ID disc with my mobile/home number on & his name.

Here he is.......

Sorry to hear this Paul, what was the weather like when he was last seen? If it was fine then there's a high chance he's been shut in someone's shed or garage - I would knock on as many doors as humanly possible and ask them to check their sheds/garages (while you wait). Do follow the other tips in the list Gill linked to as they are tried and tested and have helped many a cat to find their way home

Helen's advice to ask people to check outbuildings while you wait is spot on and the list Gill has linked to is invaluable especially .....

"Go out after dark when it is quieter and walk round the local area (especially near garages/other outbuildings) gently calling every so often (give him a chance to answer you). Keep talking as you walk round that way if he is in the area he will hear you. This is recommended in the immediate area round your home (approx 1 or 2 streets away)"

5 days must seem an eternity   So pleased to hear he is chipped.  Very much hope you find your beautiful boy quickly

Hi there, sorry to read about Marvin.

Make sure you post this very good picture on the National Pet Register and as many other lost pet sites as you can find. You get all kinds of crazy cat people sweeping the net for you then (erhem).

Good luck, he's just adorable.  :Luv2:
