Title: Obsessive licking

Hi All,

I probably  should have posted this on the Health and Behaviour forum but here goes.

A while back Alfie started licking me, mostly my hand and/or arm but he has gotten obsessed by grooming me. Not only is he happy to lick my hands/arms at the drop of a hat but he now licks my clothing and/or my face, if I let him, very thoroughly, for ages. Yesterday evening he spent ages licking one of the legs of my trousers ! . He's also started to lick Frankie, althought I guess that it's a great sign of affection but I was just wondering if this amount of licking was "normal" ? and if anyone else has a cat that has such and obsession.

Basically it's a case of "if it moves lick it" for Alfie :)

Hi Leigh,

Tilly has moments of doing the same to me.  She jumps on me  basically sits me down then trys to groom me from head to foot :Crazy: Shes only little so I can push her off :evillaugh:  If I do that she starts on Ollie our other cat.  I think shes just proving shes the boss and we have to do as she says. :rofl: so could be the same with Alfie  :)
