Title: Hello, I'm new here, too
Post by: Rebecca on July 20, 2011, 10:43:00 AM
I've just joined this forum as I love all animals and do what I can to help them. I'm a portrait artist living in Lincolnshire with my husband, scruffy dog and a pair of degus. I don't have a cat at the moment...I'm not sure the dog and degus would like one. The last cat I had was a beautiful long haired tabby called Eggy Fat Cat..she was far from fat! We had to let her go when she was 17 and her health failed.

I've had a couple of Siamese and a few moggies over the years. My neighbours have cats and one lady has several rescued through the local Cat Protection League, so I get my feline fix that way.

I've attached a picture of Eggy, which I drew many years ago.

Hi Yasmin,

So pleased you decided to join us (we've been speaking via email ;) ).  Even though we are a cat forum we like all animals and would love to see pics of the scruffy dog and degus lol.

Ahhhhhhh what a lovely little lad (definitely a "scruffy" dog lol).

Love the degus as well (they are just big gerbils really aren't they?).

Thank you, everyone, for all your "welcomes". Sorry I've taken so long to say this but I have so much work at the moment and little time for doing what I really love, which is keeping up with forums! Ah well, it's good to be busy  :thanks:

Oh, and the degus now have names. When they talk to each other they sound like marker pens squeaking on a white board, so they've been named Berol (the bold one) and Sharpie (the more cautious one).
