Hello Peachy and   :welcome:  to Purrs

Sorry that you have joined under such worrying circumstances.
Have your cats ever ventured outside or do they need to be kept strictly indoor?

Good luck with finding them homes

The only one to of ventured out is Amba when she got pregnant with Tinkerbell & fifi and her other siblings who were rehomed at the time otherwise no they have all been kept snugly warm indoors

Thanks

I am being told i need to move out within 3-4 weeks so im on the verge of begging people atm its so upsetting x

Welcome, sorry you're in this position of having to rehome your cats, have you contacted rescues in your area?

The trouble is being kitten season most rescues will be full.  You could ask to do direct homing so the rescue helps find a home for them but the cats stay with you until a home is found that way they aren't in the rescue as such may be worth a try.

Sorry you are in this position - it must be horrible  :(

Have you asked your landlords if they will accept a higher deposit to cover any damage. It isn't unheard of for landlord to change their mind if you offer to put it in writing that you will be liable for any possible damage.

If there really is no other choice, the best thing is to decide which cats could be homed alone or if 2 of them are inseperable etc - it is highly unlikely that any one person will take on 4 cats - sadly  :(

Hello thanks for all the replies. the landlord says i can take one and one only.. I cant just choose one because it wouldnt be fair.. so re homing them all is the better  option.

ive tried all avenues i can rescue centres, animal homes, rspca, pdsa, cats protection.. I would put them in a cattery but i just cant afford to.

Picking one means there is one less to rehome. Yes it is hard but the landlord says you can keep one!!

If they have agreed to one, then they can probably be swayed to take 2  :shify:

Even if they don't is one of them timid and might find it more difficult to adapt? - I agree than one is better than none.

How awful for you.

I agree with Mark, at least go with one, there really is a massive shortage of homes at the moment so one less will be better.

Just wanted to ask as well, maybe I missed the info but are they all spayed?

Hi Peachy,

How soon do you need to find homes for them? I am on the look out for a cat but not until Wednesday 15th September would I be able to take one? Is this too late?
Thanks,

Alice

P.S I live an hour away from Manchester

Hi again Peachy,

Just read your post more carefully and seen that you're moving in three to four weeks. Me and my partner are away next week (down South) but come back on Friday 3rd September. My Mum and Dad are going away for 10 nights so I'm moving into their house for that time to look after their dogs, but if push comes to shove my partner could stay with the dogs and I could stay at home with my cat and perhaps one of yours?

Are they friendly? My other cat isn't really a lap cat so I'd love a lap cat and really friendly one?

Thanks,

Alice
