Title: Abington, Northampton: 9yr old male cat "woody" NOW FOUND
Post by: sumo2501 on July 20, 2010, 22:01:09 PM
:(Woody was last seen Sunday 18th July at about 11pm in our house on Cedar Road(corner of Oakwood road). When I got up for work at 6am, he was nowhere to be seen..NOT normal! He is 9yr old neutered male, black&white domestic short hair. He has a 'moky' collar which is purple and has a bell. I will post photos tomo but he is white on all 4legs, black tear drop on nose, ears and patchy on back with a black tail. He is very adventurous and likes hiding, climbing exploring. For this reason, I hope he is in someones shed or garage. I have put posters up and registered lost with vets. Hope this site help too x ;D NOW FOUND 30/07/2010

;D  NOW FOUND 30/07/2010

Thank you for all your messages - Our WOODY has come home, 11pm on Wednesday - came running through the house making an awful meow (never heard him meow like that before but I suppose he was telling us what had happened!) Anyway he was clean, unhurt (apparently) and very skinny and dehydrated. Once he found us and told us all about it, he went to his food and water and gorged!

He seems ok , except late last night we noticed a patch of hair had come out by his left shoulder and was wet - on closer inspection, he has a burst abcess - hence vets trip today, they said it looks like a pellet gun wound, perfectly round. He is now home safe, getting lots of tlc and the odd horrible pink antibiotic put down his throat :-:

that's wonderful news - so pleased for you and Woody :cheer:

sounds as if whatever made the wound caused him to hide somewhere, and then get shut in, as he had gone short of food and water

Woo Hoo so pleased Woody is back home safe and well.  With regards to the wound .... most of the burst abcesses I have come across look like pellet wounds ....a perfectly round hole.  So I wouldn't be too concerned that someone may have taken a pot shot at him

I'm sure after all the excitment and obvious lack of food for the past few days Woody will stay a bit closer to home from now on  ;)

Title: Re: Abington, Northampton: 9yr old male cat "woody" LOST AGAIN!!
Post by: sumo2501 on November 10, 2011, 19:35:50 PM
:( Im afraid he has got lost again....Had new TV fitted today and the engineers left the front door open (the 2 times he has got lost before has been after running through the front door in excitement then not realising where he is!)... I have registered him with vets & rescue centres and also adverts in local businesses....here we go again...I think Ill permanently lock that front door!

Once again he was lost from Corner of Cedar Road/Oakwood Road, Abington NN1 4RW

Any sightings or you find him, please message me or call Animal Medical Centre @ 1 The Drive, Abington, Northampton.

Thanks Guys xx

So pleased he is home.  The best way to get oil off his fur is a bath and a little squirt of washing up liquid.  It's best to try and wash the oil off rather than let him groom himself.
