We had a last minute new arrival yesterday morning with the discovery of a rather rough looking boy who has now been named Benson thanks to Sue P selection of a name in the auction. :hug: :thanks:
Think Benson suits him very well. :Luv2: ;)
He was discovered by a local family who called us when they found him looking worse for wear and covered in wounds / scabs.
He was brought to us and we quickly discovered that he was an un neutered boy, with abcesses and healing abcesses , ticks, fleas, worms and filthy from head to toe. Yet under all that was such a handsome lad just waiting to come out.
Benson has been for the snip today and is most unimpressed and we have him on antibiotics and keeping an eye on his sores and general condition.

Oh Benson is absolutely spiffing - and what a fabulous name - doesnt it just suit him ;) :wow: me and Paddy are well pleased. He looks lovely, bless him - a bit crestfallen, but who could resist that fab pink nose. :Luv:

Hopefully onwards and upwards for Benson now minus his bits - he has a look of our Sammy when he first came in on trapping - 10 months on and he is a joy to watch - the 4 kittens and Beijing have taught him to play - he lived outside for his first 18 months!

yup this boy definitely has his roaming days behind him. He is SUCH a sweetie. Was in with him tonight and I got bit flops and purrs but still with that fearful look in his eye. I know that won't stay there much longer but expect him to rest and eat for the next few days and then he will hopefully make a start at cleaning himself up. He is filthy!!! :Luv2:

not great quality pic as I snapped it on my mobile but had to share this with you all - this was Benson yesterday afternoon - settling in well. He hasn't made a start at cleaning himself up yet but I expect that to come once he is fully rested. He is totally exhausted. I just thought this spoke a 100 words! :Luv2:

thanks guys. He is definitely one of my favourites at the moment and he's such a wise yet cheeky soul. He's definitely been here before.

It is hard to think he is the same cat as he is so chilled and happy now and just takes everything in his stride - well apart from at feeding time when its a case of feed me NOW!!!!! lol

Ahhh bless him ... he looks so happy. It's amazing what a warm bed, abelly full of food and a snip at the vets combined with a bit of TLC does for a kitty.
I'm sure he'll find himself a willing slave very soon xxx

Wee update on Benson for you all guys. He has been reserved for adoption! :)
Have to admit that it makes us a little sad too as we are all SO fond of Benson as he is just SUCH a big character and full of purrsonality. :Luv2:
He will be going to live with a lovely family who have fallen head over heels for him. Not that he let them do otherwise mind you as the whole time we were stood chatting he kept shouting - me! me! me! :rofl: and gave it the big loves and of course him eating treats straight from their hand just won them right over.
He is SUCH a gentle giant bless him. He is due to go to his new home tonight so will update later to let you all know how it has gone.
