is she really not spayed??  she is probably out looking for a mate at this time of year - posters are pretty effective

Hi and sorry to welcome you under such sad circumstances.  You've most likely already seen these tips but this is the link in case:  http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html  they've helped many people find their lost cats.   It would also be a good idea to get you lovely kitty spayed on her return, hope you have some good news very soon

Thanks for the link :) We were hoping that she would have kittens that we would then keep as we have plenty of space where we live which is why we hadn't had her spayed yet.

there are health benefis to spaying as well, you can always get kittens from rescues so don't worry about that - hope she is ok and comes back soon

The idea was that when in season she would go to 'visit' my friend who has a gorgeous cage kept ginger tom. Normally she is kept in when she comes into season but this time she went missing before I realised she was in season.

What does "cage kept" mean?  :-:

I was wondering the same thing - but it doesn't sound good  :scared:

Cage kept is not a little cage don't worry! It's an outdoor large pen where he goes when he isn't inside her house. I was trying to say that he isn't a free roaming tom across the countryside :)

Outdoor large pen.  Ah!  That's better than a cage for sure.

When I worked at a cattery we used to call them 'cage kept', 'indoor' or 'free range' sorry for the confusion  :shy:

 :)

Glad that is the case  :evillaugh:

Nothing amazes me any more - Some will remember the cupboard cats last year. We rehomed 2 cats that had been living on top of a wardrobe for 2 years. The woman bought a dog and apparently the cats were scared of it  :( - they had a litter tray and were fed there as well. It took her all that time to decide that it wasn't fair on them. They were rehomed to a lovely woman near me (I know as I did the homecheck  :evillaugh: ) They are indoor cats but have the run of a maisonette and even have their own bedroom if they want some "me" time  :Luv2:

Some people are unbelieveable  :scared: My kitties have the run of downstairs and outside - not allowed upstairs as hubby has asthma so can't have them on the bed!

Contacted all the local vets, CPL, RSPCA, Woodgreen and put a notice up in the local village farm shop. Really hope someone calls soon  :( Plus I'm going to go through another village tomorrow to see if anyone there has seen her.
