Title: Lovely black female cat needing a new home - Bury HOMED
Post by: JackSpratt on February 16, 2010, 20:45:05 PM
A friend has contacted me asking if I know of anyone who can offer a home to a two year old female pure black cat they call Shadow. She came to live with them after a lady running an unofficial rescue emigrated and asked them if they could offer her a home.

This little girl is an absolute sweetheart but due to ill treatment (she told me a little but it's very upsetting) Shadow is very nervous so isn't coping well with other animals.

She'd benefit from a home with no other animals and no small children. If you can offer her a home please get in touch. The lady caring for her is intending to do a home check to ensure she's comfortable with Shadows potential new home.

She is. Apparently, she's very fond of the ladys teenage daughter. :) When i heard how she'd been treated and that she's still an affectionate little thing I was nearly in tears. Bless her.

No joy finding a home for Shadow as of yet.

I'm guessing it's the bit about no other animals that the problem here as most everyone here has other kitties, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, elephants, ferrets, rats etc

I hope this little lady soon finds her happy forever home.

Is there any chance with careful treatment to regain her trust and a very slow introduction to another cat that she might come around? I obviously have no idea what happened to poor Shadow in the past, so I might be asking a stupid question.

To be honest, I think there is. She's overwhelmed because in the current house as well as the usual dogs and another cat, there's two fairly large iguanas free roaming.

I can ask the lady that has her what her opinion is. :) (And it wasn't another animal that hurt her - well, it was. She was hurt by a "human being." I use the term loosely.)

EDIT: Seems Shadow won someones heart already. :) She's in a new home on a trial basis to see how she goes. :Luv:

Yay! I hope Shadow fits in her new home and that the people that have offered her this new home treat her like the princess she most surely is.

To the nasty person that treated her so badly, I truly believe that what goes around comes around, so whoever you are you really have brought bad karma on yourself.
