Hi, I am owned by 2 now elderly cats...had them from kittens and 2 rescue doga and 2 new pet hens. I live at Scorton, which is in Lancs. nr. Lancaster really.
I love to knit and I wondered if you knew of any cat sancturies that need blankets and hoow big. I know Animal Care don't want any as my husband Tom volounterrs there now he is retired. Knitting my passion and I havent worked for a bit as I have had agoraphobia...bit better now though. Look forward to reading the posts. Sandrax ;D

Hi again, Bonny is nearly 18. She is in good health so the vet says but spends most her time by the radistor in the bedroom, Blacky is 11 and black with a bit of wtie on her neck. She goes our very little in the cold white stuff we have had of late. Meggy is 12 plus, a stray so don't know her exact age. She is border collie/staffie and is not keen on other dogs, Molly is 6 and is a mainly black cocker spaniel(a sweetie) and the hens running in a polytunnel at the mo as its snow on the ground are Jamine and Charlie. The 2 granchildren named them.
I have 3 grown up family and 2 grandchildren but my animals come first. I love em. Sandrax

Hi Sandra :welcome:
I am sure some rescue would love to recieve your knitting. Sadly you are way too far away from us or we'd gladly take you up on the offer. :tired: I can suggest sizes though... knitting blankies are ideal for lining the bottom of cat carriers. I use at least 2/3 each time as some shy cats like to bury themselves under one while in transit. :evillaugh: So around A4 size would be ideal or maybe a bit bigger. A washable wool is best if you have any... blankies must be washed after each use for obvious reasons. ;)
:shoosh: A few of us have doggies too (we also have a few hen owners!) and we post piccies of them and talk about them in the General Chatting - non cat related section. :evillaugh:
