Title: RIP Tom and Dash
Post by: JackSpratt on October 05, 2009, 22:12:49 PM
Tom was a former Blackpool Cats in Care cat. He was semi feral and it took a while to find someone who was willing to work with him to help him over his nerves. Sadly, Tom developed an ear infection that was misdiagnosed and by the time it was realised serious neurological damage had occurred. His new owners decided he wouldn't have the quality of life he deserved and felt they should let him go.

Dash was still in the care of BCIC. He was an older gent and was a little cantankerous but apparently very loving - sadly, I received a message today letting me know that Nicky had had to let him go.

Just an acknowledgement of the passing of these two little souls. RIP boys.

I asked what had happened to Dash and was told he'd developed an abdominal tumour and there was no other option. Poor old lad.

At least with one of Nickys fosterers they'd have cared enough to notice something was wrong. I'm just glad he was with someone who cared, even if it wasn't a permanent home.
