Title: Pennine Pen Christmas Fair
Post by: Desley (booktigger) on September 20, 2009, 11:35:08 AM
Our Christmas Fair has been organised, and is a tad early this year, on the 1st November between 12 and 4, at our premises on Honeywell Lane, Oldham. Entrance Fee is £1, and you get a free raffle ticket. There will be lots to do, and also some nice food for sale.

I've put the date on my calendar (Purrs of course) and will try to make it as I couldn't manage the August event in Bolton.

I am allowed to say - the bloke who plays Andy Sugden in Emmerdale.

Wouldn't know him if I fell over him  but Emmerdale is very popular so hopefully he'll be a crowd-puller.  I might not be able to make it as I will be car-less from Friday (until my new one arrives  :sneaky:) so it will depend whether OH needs his car.

Me neither, haven't watched Emmerdale for a couple of years now, but hopefully will help bring people in. Fingers crossed OH doesn't need his car, would be nice to meet you again.

Dont worry about it Tab, I know you have had a hard week, it would have been nice to see you, although we are hoping to have another little fair at the Church up the road (I think -  could be down!!) next month - we also have a coffee morning at the end of the month.

The day was a great success, even though our celebrity was quite late!! We took £1015, but someone has just offered to make a donation as she couldnt attend, so the value might go up a bit more yet, and that doesn't include the donations of food, bedding and bric a brac we can sell at future events. It was nice to see some faces from the forum and finally put some faces to names!!
