Title: More August fundraisers
Post by: Desley (booktigger) on August 15, 2009, 16:54:53 PM
We have two more fundraisers this month, we are aiming to raise £300 between the two, so if anyone can come along to support us, we would be grateful.

22 August - Coffee Morning, British Legion, Shaw 9-11. 50p entrance which gets you a cup of coffe/tea and biscuits. We have a tombola, raffle, bric a brac and hopefully some cakes.

29 August - Fun Day, Lions Todmorden. As far as I know, this is just a tombola and a bit of bric a brac, I can get details of exactly where and what time if anyone is interested (I get a week off that week!!).

We do also have one at the beginning of September, Queens Park, Heywood.

Thanks - if we can raise £300 between these two, then that will be £1k this month - although that is our average vet bill, so it wont go very far!!

Had a call last night, our Chairman has arranged 3 days of fundraising for this weekend, which leaves us a bit short, so if anyone can spare an hour, we really would appreciate it.

Fri and Sat, we will be standing at the new Tesco on Huddersfield Road, Oldham with collecting boxes
Sun, there is an NDC Street party either on Ashton Road or Honeywell Lane - this is the one we will struggle with most.

if anyone can help, pm me and I will get more details.

Well, apart from the usual not having enough volunteers to do every event, we managed OK - not got the total figure yet, but we are over £300.

Sorry I couldnt offer to volunteer for anything.

I am self employed and as I do seasonal-ish work I will be fairly busy (I hope), until
around the end of October.

Will be able to offer my services after then, so will be in touch.

Regards,

Tiggerman.

Please dont feel bad about not being able to volunteer at an event, there are lots of ways to help rescues that dont involve hands on things.
