Some of you might remember Molly from the rehoming section. Well, after she got better from the issues Nicky (Blackpool Cats in Care for any newbies!) was concerned about she was safe to find a new place to live. She had bonded a lot with a kitten Nicky had herself handreared from two weeks old, so it was felt that it would benefit both of them to go to a new home together.
One of the Purrs members contacted me and told me of a perfect home - they went today. :)
Here are pictures of both Roxy and Molly - hopefully their new "mum" will join Purrs and post better ones and keep us all updated on them both! ;D

Jack just to say you and Nicky have been fantastic throughout the whole process, no it is not me who has the two babies, but it is my cousin Jenny and I will make sure that we have loads and loads of photos for us to drool over :Luv2:

Just had a phone call, Molly and Roxy are home now and tucking into dinner !, Jenny says they are very relaxed and travelled really well considering how far it was.
I have a feeling they will be spoilt rotten, Jenny was just telling me about the 'Princess' Pink baskets she got for them to sleep in, all sparkley an everything apparently :Luv2:

oooh I've seen sparkly 'posh' stuff for cats in PAH. I wonder if it's the beds from that range. I almost bought Samson a bow tie yesterday :rofl:

She can't keep food in (either way) and is currently at the vets on a drip. Poor girl; such an awful start to life and she's still a positive little thing. I really hope she'll be OK.

Just had a call from Jenny, Molly is a little better today, she will be kept in the vets for a couple of days yet, all her bloody tests for the real nasties came back negative, so now they are testing for other things like salmonella (I have never heard of a cat with salmonella), but the main thing is she is a lot brighter today and gave Jenny loads of cuddles and kisses and sung loads of songs to her when she went to visit.
So please keep up the good vibes :hug:

Molly is a strong little personality - if they've ruled out the serious nasties she'll fight hard, bless her.

When will this bad news stop, I have just had a text from Jenny, the vets have said Molly has gone downhill dramatically overnight, they have drained fluids off her abdomen today and are testing for FIP, (FIP wasnt tested for apparently, it was FIV, Lukemia etc), Molly is very sick and Jenny is on her way to see her now and speak with the vet.

Unfortunately I have just heard that Molly has been PTS, she was so ill and getting worse rapidly, they belive she was also in pain. I dont know any other details yet as Jenny is obvioulsy so upset and cant talk at the moment.
RIP Molly, Play hard on the bridge baby girl. No more pain now xx

I know, I dont think there has been a day gone by over the past two weeks where I havent been in tears looking on Purrs, we all have to be strong and stick together :hug:

Please tell Jenny to keep a very watchful eye on the other kitten cos if it is FIP the other one may have picked it up and do hope not.
Please also tell Nicky from the rescue so she can put into gear any neccesary things for cats who may have been in contact or cats that were and have been rehomed, just to be on the safe side as FIP is the most awful disease.
RIP little Molly , so very sad cos you were just emabarking on the start of a great life. You will have fun on the Bridge little one

The other kitten Roxy was at the vets today for a check up and they have tested her as well, as soon as Jenny gets the results she will be in touch with Nicky I am sure, I know they have been texting each other today x

There aren't the words to describe how sorry I am. Molly didn't get a good start and she deserved so much better. I know Jenny will be in bits, but please thank her for showing Molly people aren't all bad in the short life she had. :hug:

What a terrible month this has been with so many young ones and oldies passing to the bridge :( my heart goes out to all those involved who strive so hard to save these little souls God Bless you all and may he give you strength to carry on in spite of such sadness :hug: :hug: RIP Molly safe from harm now and whole again at the bridge with all the other bridgebabes :Luv: :Luv:
