Hi All

I have been looking for a silver tabby kitten for a while now, stumbled upon this forum and thought that there may be someone out there who could help.
Havent got hundreds of pounds to spend but have a great home and lots of love to give to a little un'.

Silver tabbies are a more unsual colour and are easily sold on so not many end up in rescue, if you could open your heart to a black or black/white then you will find one to love very quickly  ;D

I hope you find a kitty very soon there are loads that need homes, what about an ordinary tabby if you cannot find a silver?

Unlikely to find silver tabby kittens i say.. but this is Maddie she is currently with Tenterden CP in Kent.. She is an young silver tabby looking for ahome.. I have rehomed very few silver tabbies..kittens actually.. i think its abit like torties you have to have the right combination of parent colours for it to happen..

We Canterbury CP dont have a silver tabby but we have a fab LH brown tabby male called Oscar that is dying to find a home.. he is a right handsome lad...

Got to say if you go to your local rescue you might be surprised which cat ends up picking you, and vice versa! Most people who get cats have an idea about what colour cat they want.....until they meet their cat; which usually ends up looking completely different!

Whereabouts are you in the UK?

I see what you're saying but really after a silver tabby kitten, i had one called Clio - she was beautiful just like the whiskas cat!
Unfortunately she passed away as had a heart condition from birth that was unoperable so i am really looking for one just like her, not to replace her as that couldnt happen but i hope you all know what i mean  :)
Im in the Gosport/Fareham area in hampshire so if anyone hears of any leads an email would really be appreciated, if not a born kitten then maybe an upcoming litter?

Hi,   :welcome: Purrs Tony.  Nice to have another member from our neck of the woods - I am in Gosport as well.

I run a small rescue from home handrearing kittens but I must admit to never having had a silver tabby in.   I did rescue an adult silver tabby BSH last December but, unfortunately, he captured my heart and joined by gang of furbabies, so I know how endearing they can be.

Good luck in your search and if I should hear of anything I shall let you know immediately.
