Who will open their heart and home to this dear, mature tabbie who, through no fault of her own, finds herself homeless again for the third time ?
Myrtle was originally a stray found in a very bad way and was brought back from deaths door by our vets and foster carerers, to be rehomed to an elderly lady who sadly tragically died only a few months after taking Myrtle in.
She was then rehomed to a young family but sadly despite what we had suggested before rehoming (no other cats o dogs) they decided to take on a puppy and poor Myrtle just could not handle the stress involved with a boisterous canine around the house, so she has come back into our care after being in her second home for just less then a year!!!
Myrtle is about 11years old who only wants a space on the sofa or a spare chair in a kind home with no other pets. She is a gentle soul, who loves being groomed and stroked. Myrtle is deaf but this appears to present no problems for her, but she is VERY (as in Siamese noisy and more) noisy if you don't give her attention. She therefore needs to be rehomed with someone who is around most of the day. She is used to going outside but from past experience does not go far, more likely just to find a sunny spot on the windowsill to sleep.
Recently flea and worm treated, her vac is currently up to date but annual boosters are due in Feb 09. Myrtle is chipped and ready for re-homing, she was recently vet checked and other then needing a good groom seems in good health for her age.
Currently in the care of Canterbury CP.. Homechecks will be required and donations are much appreciated to help with our work.
If you live outside our area (Kent, Canterbury) cooperation from your local CP or rescue will be required to help with homechecks.
