Yep, she's an utter babe and Jack loves her. (They cuddle up on the big cushions...having said that, the only one out of the mob that won't cuddle with another is Sage! Bless her, she's nervous about everything!)
I say a week, I think it was less and he was a bit too embarassed to admit it! ;)

Pick the most challenging why don't you? Ms Sage is notoriously skitty and generally runs away - if you look at the picture of her you can see she'd just woken up. (Sneaky, I know!)
Asteroid on the other hand actively poses when she sees the camera and I put it on the mantlepiece the other day only to notice her staring at it; seemingly waiting for it to flash at her.

It is Helen, they all like it. I know if I bit the bullet and bought one each (and put them all next to a radiator!) they'd still all go for the same one....that's the way my lot are. (Apart from Miss Skitty, of course. Bless her, she waits until the others have eaten from their bowls before going to hers. I tried moving it once, but she actively ignored it and went to where it should've been!)

Yep, Asteroid is about ten months and Jack is around fourteen! I love the fact that Astryd is stretching so she can touch Jack a little; she's his little groupie. :Luv:
I think I have pictures of Carrie and Astryd curled up somewhere too. Carrie's nineteen this year! The only cat that doesn't curl up with any of the others is Sage, my poor little scat cat!

I just called and the receptionist said the vet will call me back when she gets five minutes. Not sure if that's good or bad. :scared:

Mogs results are back. Her urea and creatonin readings were a bit high, (creatonin was just under double the normal reading range, urea a tiny bit above normal) but the vet said overall it was a really good reading for a cat her age. They've brought out some medication; I can't remember the name, that's meant to slow down any kidney issues so we're going to give it a go.
Was a sad call actually, because the vet is leaving on Friday and I'll actually really miss her!

I noticed, Rosella. She's just got longer fur! It's really funny, because Noni and Sage have really different personalities but one of my partners friends admitted after Noni had gone to live with you guys that when I'd introduced her he hadn't been listening and thought it was Sage!

Darwin and Astryd have slept like that two days in a row now....very sweet. And I love the one of Mog, she looks almost *coughs* angelic. ;) The one of Darwin on his own is on top of our kitchen cupboards; they got lowered when the landlord redid the kitchen and he's a bit obsessed. And Sage's picture is of course, in "her room." :evillaugh:

It's odd. He has times like this (I nearly said days but that's not accurate) and then times when he'll come in, then just bolt for seemingly no reason. Makes me wonder what he's used to. :( He'll get there - slowly, slowly..... :) He knows how much I care because I go out when it's freezing and sit with him for chin rubs; much to Darwins chagrin. (I THINK Chi is male, and Darwin's only used to ladies....but there's been no fights, hissing - well, once when Chi decided to try and sit with Sage - or posturing at all.)

They all have Christmas collars....Chi, in true cat tradition at our house lost his about 2 days after me putting it on him. He had a gingerbread man one, Sage has snowmen, Astryd has reindeers and Darwin has Christmas trees. ;)
They usually have reflective collars, so the tags on these are reflective instead.

I'm still very conflicted about Sprocket. She really isn't doing much to cause any trouble (apart from the usual kitten stuff ;) ) but I think Astryd's a little put out by her being here. She hisses at her every time Sprocket tries to see who she is.
Chi just bops her when she annoys him Darwin nose touches then pootles off and Sage is a little "slinkier" than usual because she's waiting for Sprocket to be a kitten and ambush her.
I'm not sure how fair it is on the others. I'll admit, I already love the little scamp and would love to think the reason she was out was because she was a sneaky so and so that got past a door that should've been shut. But I don't think that's the case. :(
I know of a couple just up the street from me who are great with their cats (as in, cats are spoiled but still allowed to behave like cats. None of this "look cute and behave" business ;)) and they currently only have one cat aged a year. Sprocket was estimated around 6 to 8 months by the vet. I wonder if she'd benefit from being with another cat closer to her age......I don't want to keep her purely because I love her. I want to do what's right for her.

He's still a bit confused by her and she's received a couple of bops from the older girls but so far, as far as I can tell no real stress....keep 'em crossed. If Chi and she are this bonded I'd have to have a heart of stone to rehome her. :tired:

I'll be honest - it's not always as calm as it looks in the pictures! But mostly they seem not too unhappy sharing their space.
I think it helps that I pimped up the outhouse (I cleared it of pretty much everything apart from a chair with a snuggly throw and a shelving unit with a heated pet bed on top near the window..... :shy: ) so if Darwin feels like he's not the top lad he goes outside for a bit and guards the garden, which makes him feel manly again. :rofl:

Believe it or not, Mary...no, we don't. They just claim it. :evillaugh: The cats have at least 12 beds dotted around the house, they just like to make sure we know our place. ;)
Rosella, it's only dry food. And I'll be honest - Chi is totally addicted to the cheap stuff we were putting on the wall for him outside and refuses to change allegiance to something better for him; which means there's a bowl of that down too and the others snaffle it. (Junk food is always more fun isn't it...? :tired: ) Plus, you have Noni. ;)

I will it with my mind. ;) I was watching Chi and Darwin on the foot of the bed the other day; Darwin was using Chi's bum as a pillow.....which was fine until he started playing with his tail. Chi got rather offended. :evillaugh:
The Sage and Darwin photo is a little like hens teeth. ;) Sage is not a fan of Darwin still, due to residual memories of him as a tiny kitten being far too excitable and always trying to get him to play. He's calmed down a little with her now, but she's not forgotten. :tired:

Chi and Darwins feet are ALWAYS filthy. They clean, but they both go out quite a lot so they regularly look like scruffy street urchin cats. ;) :evillaugh:

Our lot have a super deluxe cat post I saved for which I managed to order recently. :) I'll try and put up some photos of them on it and their new shelter that was a gift from a friend. :)

Gill, you're on FB aren't you? There's a comparative album on there from when he first started visiting and sort of following his progression. When he first started coming, both myself and my cousin thought he was a kitten because he was so small; or under a year to be more accurate. He was also slightly boz-eyed, which both OH and a VN friend think was down to being malnourished. He isn't now though, although his eyesight can be a little bit less than perfect at times.

Emmy_Lou, no idea. VERY relieved though. He has so far stayed in the garden or sat on the wall at the bottom, which we're eternally grateful for. Astryd is a little princess - she loves clicker training with OH (and is very good at it) and most nights will climb under the duvet, do a u turn so her head is on the pillow and fall asleep having a cuddle.
:rofl: :rofl: Ahha! Yes, that's definitely a dialect indicative of Sues area. ;) And no, I couldn't choose a favourite either. They all have traits that are massively endearing and I love each little personality immense amounts.
