Title: FOUND - Brown Tabby Male, Lochgelly, Fife
Post by: madkittyrescue on January 09, 2009, 12:57:41 PM
Hi guys,

We had a big brown tabby boy come in late last night after a report from a member of the public who has been feeding him off and on for the last 6 - 12 mths.

Has been hanging around the Lochgelly (Cartmore) area for the last year (approx) before being reported to us last night.

cat is not chipped, no collar but has been neutered.

Suspect this little (or rather big) lad is definately lost or an abandonment case.

Exceptionally friendly with the sweetest of natures.  If you know anyone who may be missing a cat like him please get in touch with Sunny Harbour either by PM or on 01592 783732.

Sam - Have done a quick sweep on sites.  There is 1 listed for Fife called Dave, but its not him as legs are the wrong colour. :(

not yet sam.  We've put up some extra posters in the area to see if we can trace his owners as I'd love to be able to return him if they are genuinely worried and looking for him as he is SUCH a little (or rather big) darling.

Will give it another wee while and if nothing comes of the ads, etc then we'll just have to put him forward for adoption.  Will let you know if I hear anything though! ;)

well it looks like all the posters in the town paid off.....

I had a call last night from a chap re Teddy who has lost his cat and it sounds as though it may well be him.  They are popping round later this afternoon so will update for definate once they've been but am pretty sure its their cat!

needless to say... I've emphasised getting the cat chipped.... would save a lot of hassle!!!

mmmmm well Teddy went home yesterday!     can't say I was 100% happy handing him over and my gut feelings were confirmed.    >:(

Teddy left us at 4pm..........  was seen in the street where he was originally picked up at 5pm.......   lady who called us about him was upstairs busy for a couple of hours, came downstairs to find Teddy had climbed through her back window and made himself at home!!!

now is it just me.... or surely if I say keep him in for a while.... that doesn't mean let him out as soon as you get home..... he's just gone and wandered straight off again! <sigh>      Will monitor the situation and if needed have another word with the owner, although not something I relish!    :tired:

I got a call last night to say that the owner let him out again last night but this time followed him to see where he went and chapped the ladies door to confront her!

Thankfully the lady concerned is no pushover and the end up is that she put him right and all seem's to be sorted for now.  That said however chances are that Teddy will still roam.  All we can do is see how things go and go from there!!!
