Only just been picked up and looks not in bad condition, but has been outside as a stray for several weeks. Supose to be a apricot, cream persian. No chip at the moment, but photos on their way.. She has a large tum, but we hope thats just worms!!!! Real sweetie..

She must belong to someone!!

*comes out of lurkdom again*

This might just be a really odd coincidence, but if I say "near upper Long Meadow Road, Canterbury", would that ring a bell?  If it's not where she was picked up, that may be where the owner was.

My cousin was feeding/fussing a "peach"-coloured Persian until a few weeks ago, when the cat stopped showing up.  I'm not sure if Cousin ever managed to get in touch with the owners (there was talk of collar notes), but she was planning a bath+vet/chip-check around the point "Carrot" vanished.  She was described as "distinctly skinny" around then . . . .

Poor puss!

It never ceases to amaze me what cats seem to turn up as strays!!!

Also never ceases to amaze me that I would happily take them all - lucky I have a more level headed boyf!!!

She is a beauty!  Sorry can't help with home.  Currently upto five persians at the minute (three permanent and two temporary till new homes found).  Good luck x

Oooh, she looks lovely  :Luv2: I wonder if she could be a blue cream as I can see some shaded bits that look 'blue' (grey!) unless that is just the photograph, otherwise she looks like a cream.

Sharon, I don't have many enlightening details, I'm afraid.  It was something that came up in conversation.

The Persian in question was friendly, jumped for head rubs and pottered around the housing estates by Long Meadow Way, where my cousin lives.  So according to googlemaps about a mile from Sturry?  Local children recognised it/her, or at least called her by a name, and while straggly, she wasn't obviously stray.

Shall I point the cousin in the direction of this thread or your website+phone number?  She might know a bit more, but if she had got a reply from the collar notes, I don't think she would have considered getting her chip-checked by a vet.

My goodness, she's beautiful.  :Luv: I seem to recall saying on another thread that being willing to pay hard cash is no guarantee of a good owner - how could you accept responsibility for something that precious and not get it chipped!  Someone must have paid hundreds for her once upon a time and now look at her....  >:( :(

Sharon, what with the Birman and now her I am beginning to feel tatty and in need of a makeover.

awww she is a gorgeous little girl Sharon, I hope once she is back in  good fettle it doesn't take long to find her a new loving home.  So glad that you managed to get her though especially with the weather being so cold.

sending big hugs for her.

She isnt chipped!! We reckon middle aged. We have notified local vets, but if anyone on purrs knows any Persian Rescues Kent way that they can spread the word about this one then pls do.. I have to say our pen space is so limited we are unlikely to keep her long before she goes up for rehoming.... People should be more responsible and get cats chipped. I have had such an earful today from people being so darn stupid that i am loosing my faith in people who actually do care. We have notified all vets and find it hard to believe that no one has reported her as missing..

She doesnt look like the normal Persian type... though does she.. So may be  a cross or something..

We have called her Tabby Lou

No one has come forward for this mite. She isnt chipped and we have contacted all the local rescues and vets.. She is going to the vets this week and will be up for rehoming asap.. Thats what happens when people do not chip their cats.. Tough! They get rehomed to people that do care.. I am amazed..

I am amazed too - someone paid a lot of money for this babe at sometime and now she is lost!!

My work collegue has lost her cat about a week ago, he was an outdoor cat and I feel so sorry for her but at the same time don't understand why someone in such a big city as ours would not microchip a cat that they let go outdoors!!! Likwise for this little babe!
