Title: Eagerly seeking an indoor cat - Leeds
Post by: nicky101 on October 13, 2008, 19:24:48 PM
Hi there,

I live in a 2 bed flat in Leeds and am looking for an indoor cat - older cats/FIV etc all considered! I live with one (female) housemate and I own the flat myself so there will be no landlord-related problems! I work usual hours and my housemate works various different hours as she is a student doctor. I guess that my home will be more suited to an older cat than a kitten. Any advice or info would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Nicky

Hi Nicky and  :welcome: to Purrs,

Have you had a look at the CatChat pages of rescues in your local area to see if they have any suitable kitties:

http://www.catchat.org/adoption/yorksw.html  most of the resuces have a CatChat rehoming page but it is always a good idea to actually call each rescue to see if they have any "special babes" that would need an indoor only home.

Good luck in your quest

Sam

Hi Nicky,

I hear the home visit went well and Liz is looking through the lists of cats to see if there's a suitable one! We have a more mature lady dumped at the vets and she might be a possibility, but i'm sure Liz will contact you to have a chat about it!

I'm sure Nicola won' mind saying that she's chosen our old girl at the vets!!!! She came in in a very poor condition, with only one tooth left and a matted coat, but is a little sweetheart! We called her Minky (although she did get called Manky a few times lol!)

We're so pleased as Nicola had such a lovely home and we think that Minky will settle and enjoy her retirement!

I love the people who want the unwanted and aren't after kittens, greys, peds etc  :)

  for Nicky  :)

Aww she's not manky at all! She didn't stop purring the whole time we were there visiting her! What a sweetie. :Luv2: Can't wait to bring her home! I will certainly put up a photo when I do - hopefully a 'before' and 'after' piccy when her fur has grown back and she doesn't have a sore nose and dandruff!! Thanks for the support!  :thanks:
