Oh, you sound purr-fect in every other way. It's such a shame  :-[ B****y students. You woudn't fancy moving  :innocent:?

I will speak to my friend about this and get back to you asap as they might know of others cats too.

Yes B****y students is right... its freshers week so they're alittle rowdy at the moment but they'll soon settle down.... would love to move, but I get free accommodation right now :)

thanks

Milo is looking for an indoor home and I know that the Raggie people rehome all over the country - he is a couple of posts under this (sorry can't add link I'm an idiot!!)

Hi Dawn,

Milo sounds like a sweet thing, although I'm not sure I would be suitable as I work Monday-Friday 9-5 and I think that perhaps Milo will need more attention than that. That said I'm very rrely out in the evenings....

If I'm perfectly honest, I am more inclined to adopt a good old moggy....not wishing to sound too picky!   :)

I know what you mean but it just seems such a shame that there isn't one right now!!  I really hope the indoor thing doesn't mean you have to wait too long

Well, me too!

That said, I'm actually away in Scotland at the end of October so I will be just as well waiting until the beginning of November. I didn't think that would be an issue anyway as most rescue centres like to have a chance to meet you, for you to meet the cat and have a home check before any move takes place..so thought it would be a while anyway.

I would hate to adopt and then immediately put the poor thing in a cattery...how to confuse the poor baby in one easy step....

maybe you should start another thread in the wanted cat section, I cannot believe there isn't a rescue somewhere who wouldn't bite your hand off

Have you checked out all the local rescues in our area (I say our area as I'm in Nottingham, Netherfield):

http://www.catchat.org/adoption/notts.html  ... check out the catchat rehoming page for each rescue :)

Hi Sam,

yeah I have been looking on there, but there don't appear to be any suitable cats on the actual website (or I may have missed them) - I keep forgetting which pages I've been on and which ones I haven't. I've made a couple of calls and left my details....so just waiting around :)

Cheers though

Its always worth phoning each rescue as rarely is there time to photograph and write up all cats, so many may not be featured  ;)

Hi Wixy. I'm a volunteer at Ashfield and Amber Valley CP (nr J29 of M1).

I'll keep an eye out for a special indoor cat for you. As long as you can get up to the shelter to meet your potential new friend there's no issue with homechecking as I work in Nottingham.

Here's hoping!

Amy  ;)

Hi Amy,

Thanks for that, but I'm happy to say that over the weekend I went to the Central Animal Rescue in Leicester and I've found an absolute sweetheart. She wasn't what I set out to rehome (ie FIV or a disabled) but she has had a rough time of it because her previous owner died and was stray for a while.

Her name is Angel, shes 7 and the most beautiful British Blue. I'm told she has zero desire to go outside so I'm happy. She'll be coming to live with me on 1st November..I'm so excited!

thanks for all your help everyone.
Charlotte xx

Anyone mind if I try and split this so we can keep up to date with Angel and bump Poppy's plea up a bit?  Speak now...
