Thanks folks for replying to my ad.  Getting a little worried now as time is progressing and we will be moving late November.  Christine, we are in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.  Desley I took Cleo on from a neighbour back in 1990 - 1992, she was a big kitten back then so I can only count from around that time, so 16 - 18?  It would be a really awful to have to take her to a shelter for her twighlight years when she should be relaxing and enjoying her garden.  I am worried that iif I do take her to a shelter they may not rehome her as she is old.  Please let me know what you all think?

Some shelters dont take older cats, some do, it varies. I would try and find one that uses foster homes, as oldies do better in that kind of situation
