Title: 12yr old recently blind puss Pippin seeks a home.. Kent. SORTED!
Post by: Canterbury_cats (Sharon) on September 16, 2008, 11:56:54 AM
Another call from our vets.. A 12yr old female who has recently gone blind has been handed over to them for rehoming.. Mainly because the owners other cat is now bullying her and making her life difficult.

Currently in the care of Animal House Vets in Herne Bay, kent.. Where the head vet is keen to vet potential new homes and discuss the needs of this puss cat so she isnt being rehomed though CP, we have just been asked to put the word out for her.

Indoor home essential and poss no other animals but lots of companionship so new owners would need to be home majority of the time.. She isnt on any meds but may change in the future.. She went blind to due high blood pressure.

Pls cross post. the vets are doing their best but this isnt going to be an easy one to rehome. I will try to get photos and more details later on today.

Ta much

Don't forget my mum had a blind cat for over 11 years so she is good for advice. Isn't some blindness caused by blood pressure reversible? - I suppose it makes a difference if it is caught early enough?

The vets ahve found someone to take this little girl on. She is having a hard time adjusting at the moment.. Poor mite..

While i was there a cat got brought in that was dead found in someones garden... it didnt have a chip.. But good on the people that brought him or  her in.
