It's that time of year again where we ask for pics of your wonderful cats to go into our printed project fundraiser.
It's gonna be a 2009 and possibly also 2010 A3 calendar. It will be a diff design inside than the brill 2007/2008 one we have already have but with the same outer Purrs logo cat. It depends on how many pics we get if we do one year or a double sided one with two years.
Fantastic keep sake of our babes and make great gifts for all!!
We want to sell as many as we can to raise loads of dosh for an cat rescue yet to be decided by rotation of our Independent rescues on our fund list and hopefully raise as much as we have with our last two projects. ;D
Soo if ya want ya babes on the new Purrs professionally printed project this year, i'm gonna need your babes photos. :print:
One photo per cat only please, pics of two or more cats together are allowed.Pictures need to be of good quality and decent size so they come out well on print.
We will also need your name, cats name and a caption of up to four words (if long words then will have to be 3 words, if short words can be 5 words max)
Send pic as an attachment to purrs email - purrs@purrsinourhearts.co.uk with names and captions in the email message. If sending more than one cats pic in the same email, please make sure the pics are named with each cats name. :)
Get snapping :pic: and the deadline to get the pics to me before i start designing the calendar is JULY 20TH
I am waiting for printing costs from the printers at present and as soon as i hear, i will post the cost of buying each calendar. The cost will include the donation to the rescue, printing, UK postage and envelope, and will be between £8 -£15 each depending on how many years we have in it.
A totally unique one off item, Nothing like it is available in shops and it will have your very own cats on it! And fantastic quality as anyone who has a current one will tell ya :) :)

Just a quick Q...
If we have two cats and it's a one pic per cat rule ie two pics in total in my case can we have two pics with both of them in instead? :wow:

The quick answer is no Helen, its one picture per cat or one picture with two in, unless come July we are short of pictures then we maybe a bit more generous ;D

If I did individual pics I'd be allowed two so don't see the difference in having two doubles instead, I've got sooo many to choose from there's no way I could choose just one so will have to go for individual ones :(

ya can pick which month if ya like but can't guarentee everyone has their picked month depends how many pics we get in so if ya do want to pick a month best to get them in early :)
Yup as many cats as you like as long as they are yours and one pic of each babe. If we have space left, i will except cat pics from friends with their name but only if they would buy a copy :evillaugh: ;)

PURRS IN OUR HEARTS 2009 and poss 2010 CALENDAR
Large A3 (297 x 420mm) One or Two YEAR (depending on amount of oics received) Cat Calendar with stunning pictures of our cats and captions on each month.
This calendar has a page for every month, you will not be able to buy anything in the shops of this quality and at this price covering 12 or 24 months. It's a one off limited creation to raise funds and very special!

I'd love to send one of each of my 2. Separate ones as being very dark and very light they don't photograph well together. What's a 'decent' size btw as I'm not sure what size my mac's saved them in or how to resize ? :Crazy:

i think tan likes to get the full size picture cos they afe better quality and then she and others lol help to get them ready.
i am sure she will buzz on here if she wants anything different ;D

my problem with resizing is in the other thread I just posted in ( cat show). Can I send you that size/no of pixels photos as they are all that?

swampmaxmum for the calender thethere is no need to resize your pics ... as I think the printers will do this for Tan.
However for the cat show they do need resizing and I'm happy to do it for ya ... send them to me and I'll send them straight back.

Are pics that people have sent in for the cat show suitable for the calendar - the max size is 640 x 480 and I'd say the majority are around the 50kb mark. Will that be big enough? If it is then it's much easier for the technophobes amongst us to send a pic to be in the calendar as they are already here with us on Purrs. People could just say they'd like their pic from the show to be in the calendar ;D

Yeap any the pics in the cat show are fine to go into the calendar if anyone would like a pic percat to go in the the calendar from the show, let me know and i will save to my calendar file. Wil also need a caption and names you would like with the pic. ;D

Have I sent mine Tan? (Carrie, Jack, Toby and Sage. I don't have many of Parsley sadly and the best one was used in the diary.) Will try and get one of Astryd ASAP too, but the camera battery has died and I can't guarantee how great it'll be - she's a small black blur on most pictures!

Ive tried and tried and tried to get a good picture of Melissa, bribed her with every fish and meat going but stardom,fame, fortune and pin-up is obviously beneath her. :shocked:

Am working on group shots but they keep moving so am currently doing doubles and 3 somes although Blue the latest feral is doing flathead hide on top of kitchen cupboard!

Almost there Yayyyyyyyyyyyy ;D Will have all the pages up for viewing next week and in the shop to order.
The printing has gone up a little and the postage has gone up 20p so the total price this year will be £15.40 per calendar (incls UK postage and packing). That is great value for a TWO year /2009 & 2010) Huge A3 size (42cm x 29.7cm) and not availble anywhere ielse as it has all your personal cats on it with names and captions. 192 pics of them ;D
Everyone need to check the pages before we send it off for printing so i can amend any errors (like huge speeling ones) :naughty:

Once all the pages are up for viewing (all up by the weekend) and all corrections done, It will go off for printing next week hopefully and deliveries will go out as soon as they come in from the printers :)
Now for the big Announcement
As you know we have two extra fundraisers in a year (the auction and the printed project ) that are for our independent rescues. The rescues are chosen to receive funds from these two fundraisers by rotation. The next Independent rescue in our fund list for funds is .......................Ron at Lost Cats Brighton.
All the funds made from The 2009 2010 calendar sales will go to help wonderful Ron and his needy cats.
Please help us support Ron and the cats in his care by ordering our calendar. Lets give him and the cats a nice pressie for Xmas ;D
I want to also say thanks so very much to everyone who sent in pics of your furkids for the calendar. Without you lot, the calendar would not be and enable us to help out our wonderful cat rescues. :thanks: :hug:

Beethoven is the cat they got when their son moved to Gran canaria! :shocked:
His buddy was called Mozart but he died so Beethovwen now has 2 humans at his beck and call and he can work them both - he now has his own electric blanket after we said our mob had them - he also is black and beautiful and is now 16

Mine has arrived and its fabulous and its huge and I love it. The pics are great. Supposed to be doing houswork all afternoon but been looking through it at all the beautiful puds. Is it January yet?????
Was hoovering upstairs when the postie knocked, by they time I got downstairs he told me he was just about to fold it in half and post it through the letterbox. Got a few stern words from me about "please do not bend means DO NOT BEND".

I'll buy a calendar or two but because I cannot bear to look at kitties who have passed over (and I know that some of them featured on the calendars have) I would like to offer my purchases to other members, as a sort of gift.

Across the top of Purrs above where you type there are little boxes and one says shop!
Thats the place and if you have never been to the shop before its great but you will need to open an account, cos it runs seperate from Purrs.

No all these calendars are with Tan and for sale through the shop.
I suspect Ron is too busy to sell as well as mind the kitties but also he has not been on Purrs for a while and hope he is Ok

my friends in Hove were over there on Friday apparently dropping off cat food (they are very well trained!!) apparently he has managed to get his numbers down quite well and only has 10 at the moment

only had ten on Friday but the numbers are growing again fast have had more in, and just picked up two mope strays today. and should be having two more coming in. i have not been on purrs as i took a 8 day Holiday to see my sister in Spain as was feeiling :tired: the rest has done me good and feeling ready for the kitten season wich will be on us all soon. :-: Ron
