Just was wondering if anyone was planning on going to the National at Olympia on the 8th?
All being well (touch wood) I should be there, so do come and say hello. Will be wearing my Purrs badge.
-
I'm going, with OH and his goddaughter, will definately look you up!
-
We are going to the show in Leicester on 8/9 Dec with the breeder of our Bengal Babies.
-
Yup, me and Leigh K are planning to come along, be good to all meet up ;D
My mate Tessa is also coming, she has an FIV cat too, so there will be 3 FIV owners in one go!
Hope you can make it Witty, will be great to finally meet you, might even be lucky enough to be allowed a little chin rub (that's your darling girl, not me of course) :evillaugh:
-
Where can I get me a Purrs badge ......... are there official ones?

Coolish! Ely & District CP will be there - some exhibiting cats and some working on the stall. On sale will be some super cat toys including furry tunnels, xmas toy stockings and catnip toys made with authentic and approved Toby's Organic Catnip. :sneaky:
I'm so looking forwards to meeting more purrs peeps! ;D
-
I will *hopefully be going, I will keep a look out for people with Purrs badges even though i'm quite new here :shy:
-
Hi Witty,
Me!, me!, me!, meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!, I'm going too, I'm going too, I'm also going to order my Purrs badge today and I'm much looking forward to meeting you all on the 8th.
Cheers
Leigh
PS. Did I mention that I'm going too ? ;D
Edit : I have ordered my Purrs badge as well as one of those Turbo Scratcher thingies and a Wiggly Waggler so my lot are having a bit of a "toy fest" at the moment ;D
-
Leigh, I'm so looking forward to meeting you! ;D And Clare as well. ;D
We'll have to find a time / place to meet up, but if you lurk around the household pets you're bound to bump into me at some point. :sneaky:
-
I'll come and find you Witty, I'm going fairly early so not sure who else I'll see but will look out for purrs badges!
-
Hi Dawn,
I'll probably be there quite early too, I've ordered my Purrs badge, would be great to meet up.
Cheers
Leigh
Witty, a quick question, went to their website and it occured to me to ask do you have to prepay ? or are tickets available on the door ?.
-
Dawn, If it's early on during the day, I'll be lurking in the household pet section as per usual! ;) The show opens to the public at 10:30.
Leigh, yes you can buy tickets at the door - I did last year. Think the prepaid tickets are only £1 cheaper.
Don't forget to visit the World of Cats where you can get up close and personal with the different breeds on exhibition and I believe there will also be a demonstration of cat agility as well.
-
we are picking up oh goddaughter at about 10.30 and they live in holland park so we should be there by 11ish - looking forward to seeing you!
-
Hi folks,
Thanks for the info Witty that's great, I'll be there close to opening time.
Cheers
Leigh

Should be there early as we are going down to London on Friday and staying overnight. Can't wait to meet up with peeps and will definately pay a visit to the Ely stall Witty - getting excited now ;D
-
I'm looking forward to the show now too, but of course a little nervous. Show paperwork came in the post...
Ann, I do some sourcing of stuff for the Ely stall - have managed to get some lovely fleece pet blankies to go with the toys. ;D We took some fleece blankies I'd sourced earlier in the year to the Supreme and they flew off the stall... :)
-
Hope to get there close to opening time as well, I'm guessing there may be queues, and don't want the stalls to sell out of everything!
I need to take another look at directions etc, i.e. nearest station etc.
-
Clare, take it you're going by tube once you've gotten into London proper? Victoria is it?
If so, you'll need to get to Earl's Court (easy, just a few stops) and then change for the District Line branch to Olympia. But be warned - these trains are only once every 15 minutes, so if you miss one, you'll have to hang around some.
-
Cheers for that, just been checking online meself. I'll be coming into Waterloo, so will probably jump on the tube to Earls Court then change. Thanks for the heads-up on the infrequency though lol, you can probably guarantee that we'll get to the platform just as one goes past :evillaugh:
Really looking forward to Saturday now ;D
-
I used to love this journey cos I would get to Earls Court and all these crazy cat people would be everywhere and the load getting off the train used to have all these bags of goodies and boxes and stuff to carry ;D
-
I think I will defo be a crazy cat person on Saturday lol.
Just hoping my Purrs badge turns up in time, otherwise I may have to improvise lol

-
I've just realised I'm out all day Sunday ... how me gonna keep bidding for me stuff :-:
Dammit :(
-
I don't have internet access at home so I've got no chance!
-
dear oh dear oh dear.....you will have to find an internet caff by 1800 and then do the last hour or last half hour..............i reckon some items will go right down to the wire which drops at 1900 precisley on sunday, using the purrs clock.
-
Oh bums, me gonna be on me way back from a day out in Manchester ..... don't think we'll be back in time unless our plane can go supersonic :evillaugh:
-
Just checking in on this thread as I am off to London tomorrow (very early) with two of my CP friends, having a shopping day Friday but not too much so I can spend lots on Saturday. Hope to see peeps around the place and will keep an eye out for you Witty. Be back Saturday night so plenty of time to get my bids in (if I have any money left that is  )
-
Ann, will be wearing a Purrs badge and an Our Cats badge! Hope to meet up with you.
Dropped some stuff I'd bought for the stall off at the branch co-ordinator's this evening, which I'd actually lugged all the way from London on the train yesterday. Needless to say I got some very strange looks, but who wouldn't, sitting on a train with 20 pawprint blankets and three furry cat tunnels... :evillaugh:
Gonna be a hideously early start on Saturday - have to get up at 4 am to leave for 5:45......... :-:
-
Hi folks,
It doesn't look like my Purrs badge will turn up in time unless it comes later today so I'll be improvising ;D
Looking forward to seing as many of you as possible tomorrow.
Cheers
Leigh
Edit: I made my own Purrs badge for tomorrow so look out for someone (me) wearing a personalised Purrs badge with my name on dangling from a snazy blue lanyard, I knew there was a reason I kept such things from all the conferences that I've been to over the years. ;D In the famous words of Blue Peter "here's one I made earlier" :)
