-
Yes but the person was trying to find a number for Halcyon cat heaven.
We need to help this kitty as he is due to be PTS in a week!!!!
-
No they were only wondering if it could help and maybe didnt realize the distances involved.....maybe Dawn knows somwe contacts
-
I've sent a plea out and pm'd Reynard for contact details
-
Righty ho, Dawn. Have asked Georgina for the contact details and will get them to you as soon as I recieve them.
-
Thanks hun
-
Thanks Dawn
-
No worries Gill, sadly I can't promise anything but we'll wait and see. It's a shame he's not closer, I may have been able to get him in somewhere down this end or at a push sorted a cage out for him :(
-
Whereabouts in Devon is this old boy?
I have 'in-laws' in Exeter.
-
Can you pm Reynauld please Jasmine cos she is getting this info ;D
-
Poor boy. I note she says RSPCA and CP won't take him as he's too old - have they actually tried CP? - If it was our branch, age wouldn't make any difference and it shouldn't for any branch AFAIK :(
-
Any news on this and have the details been passed to Dawn and Jasmine?
-
I've had a phone call from Helen from The SouthWest Animal Protection and she is going to put a plea out and try and sort a fosterer out for this little one. Ideally we could do with a contact number if one can be sorted. Witty, I've forwarded the email address you gave to me but if a number can be sorted out, that would be great and we can maybe get something sorted a bit quicker
-
Come on Witty do your stuff get that number if possible and thanks Dawn for helping......it will be so good if a fosterer can be found
-
I'll pm my number Witty just in case I don't see the thread and you manage to get a number for me  Gill, it would be great if something can be sorted, Helen only got the email today but is doing her best to sort something out :)
-
oooh the purrs posse springs into action again ... god I love this site. :Luv2:
-
This is sounding hopeful, I've pm'd Witty & she will let me know location, but mine's a long shot really... I'd snap him up myself if I had room, sounds like our ideal cat!
-
I know Helen has already emailed the email address Witty gave me, I have a copy of the email........hopefully, she'll get to read it tonight and contact her
-
Helen has received a reply from the lady whose email address Witty gave me and she's passing Helen's email onto the owner of the cat. Hopefully it's not too late for this little man :'(
-
I think it should be :wish:
-
Thanks folks! You're all brilliant.
Sorry I've been out of comission - have been recovering from a trip to the dentist at tea time. Dawn, do you still want me to try and get a phone number from Georgina or not?
-
If you can Witty and Helen can deal with her direct, thanks hun, xxxxxx
-
The answer is definately Witty ;D
I think all the info available for this one asap will be useful , if his life can be saved.
-
Just had this email:
Am on the case have got owners phone number and Dorothy who is dealing with it has just phoned me. I will be doing an appeal as soon as Dorothy has more info for me, the cat is in Dorset.
xxxxx
-
Wonderful ;D
-
Superb! ;D
Keep us posted Dawn - I really appreciate your input. If this little man can find somewhere, that'd be brilliant. :)
-
Great, have everything crossed
-
I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything
-
If this is Preston in Dorset, then please try Margaret Green too. They are very close to Preston. They may be able to help out in the interim.

Fingers crossed for the little lad.
-
Margaret has already offered to take this little lad :yesss: :yesss:
I had this email:
Great news the cat is being taken to the Margaret Green shelter, Dorothy has just phoned to tell us the good news so no need to do the appeal now xx
-
Oh wow ;D
That is stunning news and thank you to Margaret Green, a life saved, wonderful wonderful ;D ;D ;D
-
BRILLIANT! :yesss:
Will have to post up the good news on the Our Cats board. I'm absolutely thrilled! :Flowers:
Many, many thanks to everyone who has given up their time to help this little man; Dawn, Dorothy, Helen & Margaret.
Here's back to the thread on Our Cats: http://groups.msn.com/OURCATSONLINE/general.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=28437&all_topics=0
-
Glad to be able to help  The internet makes the world a very small place and can help save so many lives :)
-
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
-
And just to finish this story off with an extra dollop of happy ending... ;D
The lady who originally was trying to help this little old boy and asked her friend Georgina (on the Our Cats board) to see if she could lend a hand to save him is now going to home two (and possibly three) needy kitties herself through one of the contacts she made during this appeal.
How good is that? :happy dance:
Needless to say, the folks on the Our Cats board were very impressed with the Purrs rescue network and were amazed that things happened as quickly as they did. They're thanking me, but I can't take the credit - that goes to everyone else. :thanks:
-
Wonderful.
-
That is amazing and you have the contacts Dawn, not us.......we just said can you help
-
Thats great, well done every one.
-
Witty, that's fab news :Luv: I don't want any credit, I'm just glad to help, I have a fab network of contacts who can work miracles and if I can help, I will do. I'm really pleased it's worked out for this little man
