Serif Photoplus 11
Powerful image editor packed with features for correcting photo flaws, cropping, resizing, adding effects or just making your own artwork. This version is the last one before the current one. Although I have used it, the manuals were never opened and are in new condition. I have permission from Serif to pass this on, so there are no copyright issues.

Dave can you cut the picture and post it on a different background? I often find i hate the background of the pics I have taken and want to change it.

The screenshot I put in there shows the start of doing just that!
You paint out the background in a colour that doesn't appear near the edges, then you can get rid of that part of the pic, and paste the part you want onto a different background.
-
It's also useful for taking group photos when the cats won't sit together!

Wow thats stunning ;D

I shrank the pics of the cats as I'll be using this as my siggy once the Cat Show is over, but Photoplus is also one of the best programs for enlarging photos, without as much loss of quality as others.

I was just playing around with PhotoPlus's instant effects and found this one - please note, my cats are not included in the package, and certainly not in a bubble pack!

Here's a quick example of how to improve a photo in two easy steps using Photoplus. Red-eye reduction doesn't work on cats, whatever program you're using, because it isn't red!
Here's a pic of Neit that I took about 15 minutes ago.
Step 1. Paint the pupil back in, in this case the green bit in each eye
(http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r107/DaveD_05/MyCats/DSCF2618c.jpg)
Step 2. That looks a bit obvious that it's been painted, so, using the blur tool, soften the edges of the painted area
