Well, it has been a very long 7 months since Rosie was attacked. As alot of you know, she was attacked by 2 dogs in a communal garden back in April this year. She was severly injured and a couple of times during her treatment she very nearly had to be PTS. I have been subject to abuse, threats, intimidation and damage to my property since I made the move to take the owners to Court. :censored: :censored:
The Court day is exactly 2 weeks tomorrow at 10am (November 30th) and I was wondering if you could all keep your fingers crossed for me? I am looking to obtain a Dog Control Order as I don't think I will get a penny of the money I paid for her treatment from them.
So, with the date looming closer, I am starting to fel a bit nervous, but would really aprecaite any good vibes you can send our way!
Thanking you all in advance.
Denise :thanks:

WEll done you Denise, it takes courage to take on someone like that. You have all my good thoughts going your way. Remember - they are the ones who are in the wrong and state your case clearly and calmly. Write it down if you have any fears of being intimidated at the courts - all the information from the attack through to the subsequent behaviour of the owners and their friends. Courts can be a little intimidating, but not as bad as they used to be. Be confident, calm and don't worry if you feel like crying when you talk about the things that have happened - it will reinforce the effects of the crime to the magistrate.

Good luck Denise and I really hope they get what's coming to them :censored: :censored: Well done for standing up to them, it takes a lot of courage and might deter others who think they can get away with having vicious dogs and not face up to the consequences

I'm with you - and I'm a dog-lover. I really cannot stand people who get dogs and then don't take proper responsibility for them - getting them properly trained, keeping them under control, and being courteous and considerate to other pets and pet owners are as essential to dog ownership as vaccinations and other "basic" requirements. >:(
It's about time people realised this, and that they're made to take responsibility for their dogs (good and bad) behaviour.

I like dogs too. I just think people need to be aware of a dogs temperament so things like what happened to Rosie can be avoided.
Another thing that's annoying me recently is the number of people that let their dogs mess on the street and then leave it there. Gross!

Thanks to you all so much! I can't get onto Purrs at work so sorry for the delay in replying.
I love Dogs too, but these dogs were out of Control!! It since transpires that these dogs actually attacked it's own owner earlier this year before Rosie was attacked. My Neighbour witnessed it and is coming to Court with me on the day. I also have written statements from my childminder and a good friend of mine, whom have both seen the dogs running around unleashed.
I am panicking as they will receive the bundle tomorrow that I sent the Court, just worried about the comeback on that as I have made a note of all the harrassment and included that the woman was given a Public Order offence fine when she verbally threatened me. I also included, my cut cables for the Sky tv and her Partner threatening me amongst other things.
Thanks to you all so much
Denise and of course Rosie xxxx
