Awww Gill, I have to say that thread made me cry :'( :'( It's so sad seeing how many little one's have been lost in the last year but lots of them are in a better place.
RIP little ones, you'll never be forgotten, xxx

Thank you so much for putting Badgers name on the Rainbow Bridge topic, I really appreciate it. I am typing this with tears in my eyes, Stuart has just come into the room and I have shown him, now I am sure a few tears ore running down his face as he has turned his head and looking out of the window.
Also thank you for remembering Fizzy and hopefully little Peewee will be added soon.
-
Gill that's a lovely tribute to all the little ones who are now playing at the bridge :Luv:
-
I got all teary seeing Little Girls name in there.
-
Thank you for putting Gizmo and Noodles on there. I feel guilty as there were more I lost this year but I did not mention, but I loved them all and they are all missed, no matter how short their lives were and some were only here for a few days before they left for the bridge, but hopefully there is a bundle of kittens on the bridge playing together, waiting for me.
-
I am sure Pav will be pleased to see DD on there Gill. Thank you xx
-

Thank you for adding the found cat from last november and my beautiful friend taken a couple of weeks back. So many hearts broken this year.
-
Thankyou so much Gill for mentioning our little Bina - I cant believe that it is nearly 11 months since she went to the bridge.
Miss you so much little one, think about you every day - hope you are having fun at the bridge - forever in our thoughts and hearts xxx
-
I dont know if he counts but could you please add car park Charlie for August - I am certain he has passed to the bridge as he was very ill the last time I saw him and he lived on our site and nobody has seen him since the last time I did, and fed him his last big meal :'(
I think he probably went away into the trees for his last time that day.
Can you please include him? I feel really teary eyed thinking of him, I have a class now so I have to keep this short as I dont want to feel upset. I have been hoping he would show up again but he really was far too ill for another winter. :( :( I really wish I had helped him last year :'(
-
Thats a lovely thread Gill. Reckon they're all in a better place now :)

Awww, Parsley on a roll of honour. It's what she deserves...and more. Thanks Gill.
They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them. . . and always will.

Don`t know about others in Rescue, but I find I dont have the time to grieve properly before picking myself up and moving onto the next needy one.
It was a bit of a shock seeing this post this morning but it opened up a barrow load of grief I`ve bottled up for far too long; I have cried most of the day and its hopefully done me a power of good.
Thanks Gill
-
I do hope so Teresa cos to have it bottled up is no good at all but I understand that rescues have it so hard
I thought long and hard before doing the thread and because I am a soppy emotional person I just wasnt sure but took advice and decided to do it.
I know its a sad thread but I thought all those who went to the Bridge this Purrs year should be remembered and if that helps some to grieve when they look at it , I think thats probably a good thing although I would not want to cause distress and hope I havent.
Yes Gillian it took a long time to do cos we had about 7000 posts and the bridge thread itself is hard to go through.
I have learnt however to start at the begiining of the year from now on and sadly today we have the first babe Mungo for next years roll of honour. RIP Mungo.
-
Oh Gill that's just so lovely, and you've include my Tessie Dog too :Luv:, thank you. In a weird way it's quite reassuring and peaceful knowing they all have each other to look after and play with. I'm sure they're all having a beautiful time playing chase and pouncing amongst the autumn leaves in the bright sunshine.
RIP and lots of love to all our loved and never forgotten babes :Luv: xxx

I know exactly what you mean, it brought it all back to me but I am so happy Badger, Peewee and Fizzy are remembered and also a reminder of how many new friends they will now have.
