Just wanted to share this special picture of Cleo with you, it was taken just over a week ago when Claire and I were trying to bag up catnip mice to sell at the vets.
Cleo bless her is 19 years old, blind and is in the final stages of Polycystic kidney disease , she has been at Paws Inn since she was 12 years old and no one gave her a second glance.
So folks I just want to be able to let everyone know what a wonderful lady she is and how much she is loved by us while she is still here to sit on my lap as I type.

What a beautiful girl! :Luv:
When you see a beautiful fluffball, it's easy to forget that they can be seriously ill. Anyway, she looks like she still has fun and is definately loved :'(

She looks a real darling puss and, despite being at Paws all that time she has, in fact, found her forever home and is truly happy - and that's all that counts.

She looks wonderful and not blind at all. In my innocense I thouight blind cats would be like Kocka when she went blind, she lost all the colour in her eyes and the pupil would just fill the eye, so they looked black. Her retinas were detaching, I dont know if that is the difference.
Lots of cuddles to Cleo ;D

heres a better one of her eyes

Just seen this thread.
Cleo was such a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry Teresa.
Thinking about you both made me realise what I would really like for Christmas. It's as simple as it is difficult. :lick:
Dear Santa, Please clone Teresa all round the country so that all cats everywhere have a real chance in life.
Teresa, I have always liked the following verse which is attributed to Albert Schweitzer. I make no apologies to anyone if it has appeared before because it seems wholly appropriate right now.
Hear our humble prayer, O God,
for our friends the animals,
especially for animals who are suffering;
for any who are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put to sleep.
We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us be true friends to animals and so to share the blessing of the merciful.
